Login To The SMC 7004VBR Router Using Your Web Browser
Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your SMC 7004VBR router.
By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.2.1.
You should see a box prompting you for your SMC 7004VBR password. Enter the password now.

Click the Login button to log in to your SMC 7004VBR router.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address
Press Menu on the front panel of the DVR
Enter the password: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & press the <enter> button (center of arrow pad)
Select IP Config.
Press the ESC button to exit out to the live cameras
Power Cycle the DVR
Remove the power cable from the back of the DVR.
Wait 20 seconds.
Plug in the power cable.
Identifying the IP address
Press the Info button on the front of the DVR
Write down the IP address, subnet mask & gateway on your screen.
Assign a Static IP
Enter the password: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & press the enter button (center of arrow pad).
Select IP Config
Input the same IP address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).
Now you have completed the steps required for configuring the dvr.

Now that you are logged in to your SMC 7004VBR router you should see the following:
Click the Advanced Setup link near the center of the page.
Click the NAT link near the left of the page.
You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.
Forward Ports 80 on the SMC 7004VBR
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QSDF8204 requires
you to forward the following ports: 80,2000. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page.
Go ahead and enter those settings now.
When you're finished, click Enter near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
And that's it! You're done!
