Port Forwarding Warcraft III on the SMC 7904BRA

What is Port Forwarding?
What is Port Triggering?

We are going to show you how to forward port 6112 TCP, which is the only port that must be forwarded for Warcraft III. You can change the port that Warcraft III uses for hosting on the Options/Gameplay screen. If you decide to change the port that Warcraft III is uses for hosting you should select a port in the 6113-6119 range. You would really only want to do this when you had two computers on your network that were trying to host custom games. Remember that you would need to forward the port that the second computer will be hosting on to the second computer.

To setup port forwarding on this router your computer needs to have a static ip address. Take a look at our Static IP Address guide to setup a static ip address. When you are finished setting up a static ip address, please come back to this page and enter the ip address you setup in the Static IP Address box below.

Do not skip this step!

Please enter the static ip you want to forward to:

192.168.2.

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.2.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your password. Enter your password now. By default your password is smcadmin. Click the Login button to log in to your router.

Please visit our default username and passsword page, if the password shown above did not work for you.

Click the Advanced Setup link near the center of the page.

Click the NAT link near the left of the page.

Click the Virtual Server link near the left of the page.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Warcraft III requires you to forward the 6112-6119 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu and then click Add.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.
