Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the StarTech BR4100DCv2 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the StarTech BR4100DCv2 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your StarTech BR4100DCv2 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your StarTech BR4100DCv2 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The StarTech BR4100DCv2 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your StarTech BR4100DCv2 router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default StarTech BR4100DCv2 Router Username is: admin

The Default StarTech BR4100DCv2 Router Password is: 1234

Click the Ok button to log in to your StarTech BR4100DCv2 router.

Now that you are logged in to your StarTech BR4100DCv2 router you should see the following:

Click the General Setup button near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click NAT.

This router has two different sections that allow you to forward ports. One section allows you to forward a range of ports, and the other allows you to forward a single port. To forward a range of ports, click Port Forwarding. To forward a single port, click Virtual Server.

Forward Ports 3074 on the StarTech BR4100DCv2

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. XBOX360 Section 8 requires you to forward the 3074 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding or Virtual Server menu and then click Add.
