Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Surecom EP-9610SX-GP router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login To The Surecom EP-9610SX-GP Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Surecom EP-9610SX-GP router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Ok button to log in to your Surecom EP-9610SX-GP router.

Now that you are logged in to your Surecom EP-9610SX-GP router you should see the following:

Click the Access button near the left of the page.

The menu near the top should change. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.

Forward Ports 80 on the Surecom EP-9610SX-GP

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. GE Security TVR-1004-1T requires you to forward the 80,8000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu and then click add.

Forward Ports 8000 on the Surecom EP-9610SX-GP

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click add.

And that is it! You are done!

Test if Your Ports are Open
