Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Sweex RO001 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your device, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your device here:

Login to the Sweex RO001 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Sweex RO001 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Sweex RO001 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Sweex RO001 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Sweex RO001 router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your Sweex RO001 password. Enter the password now.

The Default Sweex RO001 Router Password is: admin

Click the Log in button to log in to your Sweex RO001 router.

How to Port Forward VidPhone on the Sweex RO001

Now that you are logged in to your Sweex RO001 router you should see the following:

Click the Forwarding link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.

Forward Ports 3000-3005 on the Sweex RO001

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. VidPhone requires you to forward the following ports: 3000-3005. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu.

When you're finished, click Save near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for VidPhone on the Sweex RO001 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
