Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Symbol WS-2000 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Symbol WS-2000 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Symbol WS-2000 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Symbol WS-2000 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Symbol WS-2000 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Symbol WS-2000 router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Symbol WS-2000 Router Username is: admin

The Default Symbol WS-2000 Router Password is: symbol

Click the Login button to log in to your Symbol WS-2000 router.

How to Port Forward BroadCam Video Streaming Server on the Symbol WS-2000

Now that you are logged in to your Symbol WS-2000 router you should see the following:

Click the Network Configuration link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click WAN.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click NAT.

Select 1 to Many from the NAT Type drop down box.

Click the Port Forwarding button near the right of the page.

Forward Ports 86 on the Symbol WS-2000

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. BroadCam Video Streaming Server requires you to forward the 86 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Add.

When you're finished, click Ok near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for BroadCam Video Streaming Server on the Symbol WS-2000 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
