Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Unex IS050E router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your device, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your device here:

Login to the Unex IS050E Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Unex IS050E Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Unex IS050E router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Unex IS050E Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Unex IS050E router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your Unex IS050E password. Enter the password now.

The Default Unex IS050E Router Password is: administrator

Click the log on button to log in to your Unex IS050E router.

How to Port Forward QSee QSD2316L on the Unex IS050E

Having trouble forwarding ports on the Unex IS050E?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your router to save you time and hassle.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Put a check in the DHCP box.
  • Select OK.

  • Exit out to the live cameras by pressing the ESC button on the DVR.

Power Cycle the DVR

  • Remove the power cable from the back of the dvr.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Plug in the power cable.

Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Info
  • Select Network

  • Write down the IP address, subnet mask & gateway found on your info network screen.

Assign a Static IP

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Remove the check from the DHCP box.
  • Input the same IP address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select ok

Now that you are logged in to your Unex IS050E router you should see the following:

Click the Advanced Settings button near the top of the page.

The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Virtual Server Settings.

Forward Ports 80 on the Unex IS050E

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QSD2316L requires you to forward the 80,2000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server Settings menu and then click Add.

Forward Ports 2000 on the Unex IS050E

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server Settings page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

And that is it! You are done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for QSee QSD2316L on the Unex IS050E you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
