Before we can forward ports for Shareaza, we need to figure out what ports Shareaza is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up Shareaza.
Click Tools in the menu at the top of your screen. In the list that drops down click Shareaza Settings.
On the left hand side of the screen click Internet. Then click the Connection link in that menu. You should see a Port box on this page. You can set the port to be whatever you want, but using a port between 10000 and 60000 would be a good idea. ISPs do not usually block these high numbered ports. Please enter the port you chose into the box below.
Now that you are logged in to your Virata DSL906EU-WebCom router you should see the following:
Click the NAT inbound link near the left of the page.
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Shareaza requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the NAT inboundrule menu and then click Create.
You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers NAT inboundrule page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Create.
When you're finished, click Save config near the left of the screen to save your changes.
And that's it! You're done!
