Default Port Forwarding on the Westell Versalink 327W

What is Port Forwarding?
What is Port Triggering?

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is admin. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Please visit our default username and passsword page, if the username and password shown above did not work for you.

Click the Configuration button near the top of the page.

Click the define custom service button near the bottom of the page.

Put a dot into the Port Forwarding Ranges of Ports radio button.

Click the Next button near the bottom of the page.

Enter the name of the program into the Service Name box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea. If you are forwarding a single port, enter that port number into the Base Host Port, Left Global Port Range and the Right Global Port Range boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range into the Base Host Port, Left Global Port Range box. Then enter the highest number of that range into the Right Global Port Range box. Select the protocol type using the Protocol radio button. If you need both TCP and UDP, create a duplicate configuration. The first configuration would have TCP selected, while the second one would have UDP selected. When you are finished, click the Next then Close button.

Select the application you created using the Service Name drop down box. Then click Enable to enable it.

And that is it! You are done!
