Port Forwarding the Witpack Wirpack-4P Router for Nintendo Wi-Fi

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Witpack Wirpack-4P router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Witpack Wirpack-4P Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Witpack Wirpack-4P Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Witpack Wirpack-4P router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Witpack Wirpack-4P Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Witpack Wirpack-4P router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Witpack Wirpack-4P Router Username is: witpack

The Default Witpack Wirpack-4P Router Password is: witpack


Click the Log In button to log in to your Witpack Wirpack-4P router.

How to Port Forward Nintendo Wi-Fi on the Witpack Wirpack-4P

Now that you are logged in to your Witpack Wirpack-4P router you should see the following:

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Put a dot into the User radio button.

Click the New button.

Forward Ports 443 on the Witpack Wirpack-4P

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Nintendo Wi-Fi requires you to forward the 443,3074 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Rule Management menu and then click Apply.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Rule Management page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add > button to move them to the Applied Rules box.

When you are finished, click the Apply button.


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Nintendo Wi-Fi on the Witpack Wirpack-4P you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
