Port Forwarding the Xavi X8222r Router for Vuze

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Xavi X8222r router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Xavi X8222r Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Xavi X8222r Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Xavi X8222r router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Xavi X8222r Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Xavi X8222r router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Xavi X8222r Router Username is: admin

The Default Xavi X8222r Router Password is: admin


Click the Ok button to log in to your Xavi X8222r router.

How to Port Forward Vuze on the Xavi X8222r

Before we can forward ports for Vuze, we need to figure out what ports Vuze is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up Vuze.

Click Tools in the menu at the top of the program. Then click Options in the list that drops down.

In the menu on the left hand side of your screen, click Connection. On this page you should see a box called Incoming TCP / UDP listen port. You can change the port number that Vuze is using if you like. The number that is in that Port box is the port that you will have to forward.

Now that you are logged in to your Xavi X8222r router you should see the following:

Click the Avancerade Installningar link near the top of the page.

Forward User Defined Port on the Xavi X8222r

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Vuze requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Lagg Till.
