To setup port forwarding on the ZTE H220N router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:
Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your device, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your device here:
Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.
It's ok if you don't know your ZTE H220N router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your ZTE H220N router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.2.254.
Click the Login button to log in to your ZTE H220N router.
Please visit our Default ZTE Router Passwords page if the username and password shown below did not work for you.
If you can't login to your router because you forgot your ZTE H220N router username and password, use our How to Reset a Router Password guide to set your ZTE H220N router back to its factory settings.
Now that you are logged in to your ZTE H220N router you should see the following:
Click the Application link near the top of the page.
The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.
Click the Click here to add an application link near the top of the page.
Enter the name of the program into the Application Name box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea.
Use the Protocol drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding.
If you are forwarding a single port, enter that port number into the Start Port, End Port, Star Mapping Port and End Mapping Port boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of the range into the Start Port and Star Mapping Port boxes. Then enter the highest number of the range into the End Port and End Mapping Port boxes.
When you are finished, click the Add button.
Enter the ip address to forward these ports to into the LAN Host IP Address box. If you are forwarding ports so you can run a program on your device, you should enter your device's ip address into that box.
Select the application you created using the AppName drop down box. Then click Add to enable it.
And that is it! You are done!
Now that you have forwarded ports for any port on the ZTE H220N you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
