What is Port Forwarding?
What is Port Triggering?

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape.

Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.123.254.

You should prompted for your password. Enter your password now. By default the password is admin. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

There is a series of buttons at the top of your screen. In this series of buttons click the Security button.

Scroll down to the Popular Applications section. This is where we will configure port triggering. Pick an empty line to enter a new configuration. Enter the trigger port into the Trigger Port box. The trigger port is the port that data will be leaving your computer on. For port range/ranges information check the Ports list page or the software manufacture's homepage. Go ahead and enter the incoming ports into the Incoming Port box. These ports can be entered as a list like 43,46,59, a range like 500-600, or a combination of both like 43,46,500-600. Put a check in the Enable box to enable this configuration.

Click the Save button at the bottom of this section to save this configuration.

Click the status button at the top of your screen. This will bring you to the status menu.

Close to the bottom of this page click the Restart Router button.

And that's it! You're done!
