Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape.
Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.2.1.
You should prompted for your password. Enter your password now. By default the password is blank. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.
On the left hand side click Application Gateways. This will bring you to the following menu.
The application gateways page really has two options for you. You can either choose one the common applications from the drop down box, or you can manually setup port triggering. Let's see if the application you want to use is listed in the Popular Applications drop down box. Click the down arrow next in the popular applications drop down box. You should now see a list of popular applications. If you see the one you are trying to setup, click it. To the right of the popular applications box you will see another blank drop down box. Go ahead and click it. You will see a list of numbers that correspond to the line numbers of the graph below. Click the number of an empty line. Between the two drop down boxes you will see a button labeled Copy To. Click it now. The line that you specified should have a new configuration in it. The enabled box of this new configuration should be checked. If it is not go ahead and make it so. To setup a configuration manually, pick an empty line in the graph. All of the following setting should be specified by the software manufacturer. Enter the Trigger port in the Trigger Port box. Select the protocol type of the trigger port in the Trigger Type section. Enter the list of public ports in the Public Port box. These ports can be entered in a list form 454,456,457 or in a range 500-600 form. They may also be entered in a combination of the two like 454,456,500-600. Select the protocol type of the public ports. Put a check mark in the Enabled box.
Click Apply Changes to save your settings. And that's it! You're done!
