Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape.

Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.1.254.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is blank. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Click the Advanced button at the top right of your screen.

In the menu on the left hand side of your screen click Advanced Internet.

Take a look in the Select an Application box. Do you see the application you are trying to setup there? If you do, select it. Then use the Send Incoming Calls To drop down box, to select a computer to forward the incoming ports to. This should be the computer that you expect to run this application. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save your selection. That's it You're done! If you did not see the application you are setting triggering up for, click the Special Application button.

Put a check in the check box next to a blank line. Enter a the name of the application in the Name box. Doing this will help you remember why you created this entry later. Select the protocol type for the incoming ports using the Type drop down box. Enter the lowest incoming port number into the Incoming Start box. The highest port number should go into the Incoming Finish port box. The incoming ports are the ports that will be forwarded when the outgoing ports are in use. If you are unsure of the port range/ranges check the Ports list page or the software manufacture's homepage. Select the Outgoing protocol type using the Outgoing Type drop down box. Enter the lowest outgoing port number into the Outgoing Start box. The highest outgoing port number should go into the Outgoing Finish box.

Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save your configuration.

And that's it! You're done with the port forwarding configuration!
