Welcome to our Lemmings walkthrough. This is the newer PS3 game, not the original Lemmings that you may remember on the Amiga computer and other systems. The gameplay is similar to the original, but with all new levels and enhanced visuals. From the menu, choose Play with the X button.
Choose Trial from this menu. Each selection has different levels for you to choose from, easiest at the top, hardest at the bottom. To complete the game, you must go through every level in each of them.
You will come to a preview of the first level, "Teach me Climbers and Floaters". You have 5 lemmings in this level, and you must save all 5 of them to win the level. You have 10 minutes to complete the level, which is way more than anyone should need. Press the X button to start the level.
You will see a floating doorway hanging in the air. Your lemmings fall out of this door, one at a time. When a lemming comes out, there will be a few second pause before the next lemming will appear. The lemmings will automatically start walking to the right. Your goal is to get them into the exit doorway, which is on the right side of this picture. The lemmings don't think for themselves. If you do nothing, they will run into the wall in front of them, turn around and repeat this cycle until you run out of time. On the lower menu you'll notice you have a picture of a lemming climbing with a 05 on it.
You'll want to move your pointer over the top of each lemming and press the X button to turn them into a climber. The lemming will now have a hardhat on, indicating that they have become a climber. You will also notice the number decreases on your menu each time you turn a lemming into a climber. Now your lemmings can climb the wall in front of them, making their way toward the goal.
The lemmings will start walking down some large stairs, picking up some items on the way down. These items give you another ability that you can give your lemmings.
You'll need to switch to the new item that you've picked up. To navigate the menu, press the L1 and R1 buttons. L1 will move your selection to the left, R1 to the right. You should only have to press R1 once to select the umbrella picture. Now use your analog stick to select each lemming and press X to use this new ability on them. You'll see each one carrying an umbrella after using it.
Your lemmings now are climbers and floaters. When they fall from large distances they will use their umbrella to slow their decent, thus avoiding death.
Each lemming should walk into the goal and give a YIPPEE shout.
Success! That was a very simple introductory level. It'll start getting much tougher as we go. Press X to move onto the next level.
Trial - Level 2
Now we move on to level 2 of the Trial stages, "Teach me Builders and Bashers". You have 5 lemmings, and must save all 5 again. There is 10 minutes to complete the level like last time. Press X to begin the level.
Let's Go! This level looks a bit more intimidating, but it's very easy. You'll learn about Builders, which are lemmings that make stairs, and Bashers, which are lemmings that bash horizontally through some materials. If you can't complete the level for any reason, press the select button on your controller and you can choose to restart.
Your lemmings start walking right. When a lemming reaches the end of the first platform, target them and press X to change them into a builder. You only need to do this to one lemming. Don't worry if the rest fall down below.
Your lemming will build several steps. After a bit, you'll hear three "CHINK" sounds. This indicates that the builder is nearly done building steps. After the third "CHINK" he will stop building and start walking rightward again, which is what we want.
Turn a lemming into a Builder at the end of the second platform.
The lemming will build steps to the right and then start picking up 5 items. These items give you the Basher ability. You can now press R1 to switch over to this ability.
You'll see your exit doorway on the left side of the screen, behind two pillars. Right before a lemming runs into that wall, change him into a Basher.
If successful, the lemming will start carving a hole through the pillar. When the lemming runs out of material to bash through, it will no longer be a Basher.
Change a lemming into a basher right before the second pillar as well.
Now your lemmings will exit through the goal. You'll notice this screen is zoomed in. You can zoom using the triangle button on your controller.
If you want to speed the lemmings up, hold the O button on your controller. It's a great way to get the lemmings into their goal quicker when there isn't anything left for you to do. Just remember that it speeds up your clock at the same rate.
Success! Press X to move on to the next level.
Trial - Level 3
This is Trial level 3, "Teach me Bombers and Blockers". You have 10 lemmings, but only need to save 1 of them. Once again, you have 10 minutes, more than you'll ever need. Press X to start the level.
Your lemmings will come out the floating doorway in the upper-left corner. They will navigate rightward through a narrow passage. Your goal is in the lower-right area of this map. You can use the right analog stick to scroll if you want to see it.
As your lemmings walk right, you'll notice there is a bone in their path. The lemmings will treat this as a solid wall, so we'll need to find a way through. You have two new abilities at your disposal, the Bomber and the Blocker. The Bomber will be selected by default, but we want to use R1 to switch to the Blocker (lemming holding out it's hands.) When a lemming is close to the bone, target it and press X to change it into a blocker. Other lemmings will not pass a blocker.
Now that you have a blocker next to the bone, press the L1 button to switch back to the Bomber ability. Select the Blocker lemming and press X to change him into a Bomber.
You'll see a countdown timer appear above the lemmings head. it will count down for 5 seconds.
When the countdown reaches 0, your lemming will say "OH NO!"
Then the lemming will explode, taking out material around him when he dies. Lemmings that are close will not get damaged by this.
The explosion should have opened a pathway through the bone. Now your lemmings can continue down the narrow passage.
Further down the passage, you'll find another bone. Change a lemming into a blocker right next to it.
Now change that lemming into a bomber.
The explosion should have broke a hole in the bone. The lemmings will be free to continue on again.
You'll see a spiky blade in the path ahead. This will kill your lemmings. To avoid this, change the lead lemming into a blocker before it reaches the trap.
Make this lemming a bomber.
The lemming will explode, taking out part of the ground under him. The rest of the lemmings should now fall before reaching the trap. They will continue right and make a second fall.
There's another problem here though. If the lemmings keep walking right, they'll end up walking off this platform, then turn around and fall in the water, which kills lemmings instantly. What you'll want to do is turn the lead lemming into a blocker.
Your other lemmings will walk back and forth, between the wall on the left and your blocker. You'll notice they can't quite reach the goal.
Change a lemming into a blocker somewhere above the goal.
Set him as a Bomber.
Now the lemmings can get down to the goal.
Success! As long as one lemming made it out alive your good! Press X to continue to the fourth level.
Trial - Level 4
This is Trial level 4, "Teach me Digger and Miner". You will have 5 lemmings and must save at least one of them. 10 minutes will be more than enough time. Press X to start the level.
Your lemmings will start trapped in the top area of the screen. Switch to the Miner ability, which looks like a pickaxe, using R1 (for some reason it wasn't selected by default for me on this level.) The darker blocks that have bolts on them are impenetrable, so we want to avoid the lemmings digging into those or they will stop digging, wasting a valuable ability. The Miner ability makes the lemming dig downward, diagonally in the way they were facing. Change one of the lemmings that are walking to the right into a Miner right at the top-right corner of the impenenitrable rock, before the rock starts going diagonally.
The lemming will continue digging until it hits an impenetrable rock or runs out of material to dig through.
This lemming should continue rightward, picking up a new ability.
This ability will make a lemming a Digger. Use L1 to switch to the Digger ability, which looks like a shovel. When a lemming is above no impenetrable rock, use the ability on him.
The Lemming will begin to dig straight downward until it hits impenetrable rock or runs out of material to dig through.
The lemmings will come out into the bottom section of the level.
Now they will continue walking left, right into the goal.
Success! Press X to go to the final Trial level!
Trial - Level 5
This is the final Trial level, "Teach me Lights, Teleport and Cloner". You have three lemmings and need to save two. 10 minutes is more than enough time.
As your lemmings walk to the right, they'll light up candles, making it easier to see. Make the last lemming into a Blocker.
Right after a lemming passes the second candle, make it into a Builder. It'll build steps into the third column.
Go ahead and make this lemming a Climber as well. The third lemming will continue forward, falling off the edge of the map. Don't worry, he isn't needed. When your Builder is finished with his steps, he'll turn around, run into your Blocker, and then come back up the steps and climb the pillar.
At the top of the pillar is a teleportation device. Your lemming will walk into this.
Your lemming will exit out of another teleportation device, the same color as the one it entered. As your lemming walks forward, he will pick up an extra Builder ability.
Right before you reach the green teleporter, change your lemming into a Builder. If you enter the green teleporter, you'll end up at a trap.
Your lemming should continue forward, walking into the blue teleporter.
The lemming will exit the blue teleporter here.
Your lemming will climb up the left grating and then continue to the right.
This device is a cloning machine. It will clone the first lemming that walks by it. The clone will also have all the abilities of the original lemming.
Now you have two lemmings to save. They will exit the level together.
If the level doesn't end on it's own you can press the select button to bring up the game menu.
Choose Finish from the game menu to end the level.
You have successfully completed the Trial levels! Press X to continue. You'll be taken back to the last Trial level's preview screen. Choose the O button to go back to the previous menu, where you originally picked "Trial" out of the difficulty choices.
Fun - Level 1
Choose Fun from the difficulty menu.
This is Fun level 1, "Start with nothing, end with nothing". You have 100 lemmings and have to save all of them. You have 8 minutes, which is plenty of time.
Your lemmings will start with no items. Your lead lemming will pick up a Builder ability.
Your lemmings can't climb up the little ledge in front of them. Make a lemming into a Builder so they can get up.
Your lemmings will them pick up a Miner ability.
Change a lemming into a Miner, right in front of the right wall to dig through it.
Now the lemmings will pick up a Basher ability.
Change a lemming into a Basher, right in front of the column that blocks your path.
Once through the column, there will be another Miner ability they will pick up.
Make a lemming into a Miner so that you dig a diagonal tunnel all the way to the bottom. Careful because the light-colored crates with an X on them are impenetrable.
Your lemmings will climb up the grated material on the right, then they'll grab a Digger ability.
Scroll back over to the entrance of this level. Use the digger to dig down. Just be careful not to dig right under where the lemmings are entering the level, otherwise they'll fall to their death.
Now all your lemmings will exit. Increase the rate lemmings enter the level by using L1/R1 to select the + on the menu below. Press X on this and increase the value to 99. The lemmings will start pouring out the entrance.
Hold down the O button to speed up the rest of the level and watch all the lemming exit safely.
Success! Press X to continue to the second Fun level.
Fun - Level 2
This is Fun level 2, "Floaters all the way". You have 4 lemmings and have to save all of them. You only have 1 minute, but you aren't going to run out of time.
Let's go! The first thing to pay attention to about this level is there are four entrances instead of one! Each entrance will only have one lemming enter through it. Problem is, three of these entrances are too high and the lemmings will fall to their death.
The first lemming will come out the lower door. You need to change him into a Basher as soon as he reaches the wall to the right of him.
As your first lemming is digging, quickly switch over to the Floater ability using L1. A lemming will fall out the second entrance. The first lemming will pick up a Floater ability just in time. Quickly make the falling lemming into a floater.
As the two lemming walk right, they will pick up another Floater ability. A lemming will fall out the third entrance, so use that on him before he hits the ground.
Once again, you will pick up one last Floater. Use this on the lemming that falls out the fourth entrance.
All your lemmings will them exit safely.
Success! Press X to continue to the third Fun level.
Fun - Level 3
This is Fun level 3, "Down and down we go!". You have 10 lemmings, but only need to save 3. You have 5 minutes.
Change all your lemmings into Floaters as they enter the level. They will walk right and fall to a lower platform.
Make your lead lemming into a Blocker.
After the lemmings fall to another platform, make your lead lemming a blocker.
Once again, your lemmings will fall to another platform. Make your lead lemming into a Blocker.
The remaining lemmings will walk left, off another platform and land safely. They will continue walking left, where they will come to a drop-off. Make the lead lemming a Blocker before he falls.
The lemmings will walk to the right and fall to another platform. And yet again, change your lead lemming into a Blocker.
The lemmings will walk left and fall to the final platform. Make your lead lemming into a blocker very quickly to avoid the trap.
Your remaining lemmings will exit the level.
Success! Press X to continue to the fourth Fun level.
Fun - Level 4
This is Fun level 4, "Give a fellow lem a hand". You start with 2 lemmings and must save both. You have 10 minutes.
The first lemming will come out a hanging door on the left side of the map. Give him Climber and Floater abilities.
The first lemming will pick up a Digger ability.
Scroll over the the right side of the map. Here you will find the second lemming. He came out a different entrance. Make him a Digger to reach the Builder ability.
The right lemming will pick up Builder ability.
Right before the left lemming would fall to the exit, change him into a Builder.
His steps he builds must fully connect with the right pillar, otherwise you'll have to start the level over. The lemming will then pick up two Basher abilities.
The left lemming will climb over the pillar and get stuck over in the right half of the level.
Give the right lemming the Basher ability to bash leftward out of the area he is trapped in.
When a lemming reaches the tall column, change them into a Basher.
A tunnel should be created, allowing both lemming to exit the level.
Success! Press X to continue to the fifth Fun level.
Fun - Level 5
This is Fun level 5, "My first teleporter". You have 20 lemmings, but you have to finish the level with 21 of the, so of course there must be a cloning machine. You only have 2 minutes to finish this one.
Let's go! Start by increasing the rate the lemmings come out to about 60 or so.
As the lemmings come out of the entrance, give each one an umbrella.
Make the second-to-last lemming into a Digger. The rest of the lemmings will walk into a teleporter and end up at the top platform. They will collect a Basher for you.
He will dig down and become cloned. The rest of the lemmings will begin exiting the level.
Make the cloned lemming a Basher to dig rightward.
He will then join the other lemmings and exit the level.
Success! Let's move on to Fun level 6.
Fun - Level 6
This is Fun level 6, "Total eclipse of the lem". You have 10 lemmings and need to rescue 4 of them. There is 10 minutes to complete the level.
Make the lead lemming into a climber.
Make the second lemming a Builder.
Make a Blocker lemming on the left side.
At the top of the first steps start building more steps leftward. The climber lemming will hit a dead end and turn around.
The climber lemming will now be walking leftward. Have the him dig downward here.
At the top of the second steps you've made, start another set going right.
The climber lemming should be allowed to walk into the wall and turn around. When he is heading right, dig downward again.
Start another set of steps at the top of your steps.
Give the lemmings on the stairs the Floater ability.
Let the climber hit the wall and turn around. As he is walking right, dig downward.
Make three of the lemmings on the stairs into climbers.
Set one as a blocker a little ways after the first fall.
Make the second climber into a blocker a little ways after the second fall.
Make the third climber into a blocker after the third drop.
Now create one final set of steps to the left, on the top of your top set. Your lemmings should be free.
The lemmings will drop down the holes and bounce of your blockers.
The will continue downward.
The remaining lemmings should now exit.
Success! Let's move on to Fun level 7.
Fun - Level 7
This is Fun level 7, "From the left in order to go right". You have 2 lemmings and must save both. You have 10 minutes to complete this level.
Make the first lemming into a climber.
Have the climber build over the red teleporter.
Then have the builder build over the green teleporter.
The climber will end up turning around and walking leftward into the green teleporter.
The climber will get teleported to the top-right of the screen. He'll walk left and pick up the umbrella ability. Make him a basher to get through the wall. Next he'll pick up another climber ability.
Make the climber into a floater.
Make the second lemming into a climber.
Make the first lemming to reach the base of the steps into a Basher.
Both the lemmings should teleport to the top platform, walking rightward.
They will continue to the exit.
Success! Let's move on to Fun level 8.
Fun - Level 8
This is Fun level 8, "Watch where you dig". You have 3 lemmings and must save all of them. You have 5 minutes to do so.
Let you lemmings walk rightward without intervention.
They will turn around at the far end of the map.
Now they will walk all the way back to the left of the map, picking up a Builder ability.
As your lemmings walk back to the right, make one into a Builder to get to the upper platform.
Make another set of steps to bypass the trap.
You'll collect two Floaters and two Diggers.
Your lemming will hit the right wall and turn around. On it's way back, dig downward before it reaches the trap.
As your lemming comes back to the left, have it dig downward between the impenetrable blocks.
Make your other two lemmings into Floaters.
All lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Fun level 9.
Fun - Level 9
This is Fun level 9, "Watch how you go now". You have 20 lemmings and must save 19. You have 3 minutes to do it in.
Make the first lemming a floater.
Let the first lemming fall and land on the impenetrable blocks. Before he falls in the acid, turn him into a Builder.
Make the second lemming into a Blocker.
Pause the game. Speed up the rate lemmings come out the entrance to 99. Unpause.
Make each lemming into a Floater.
Have the first lemming continue to build steps.
The rest of the lemmings will exit. Have the first lemming continue building.
After using all of your Builder abilities, your lemming will be able to fall and exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to the final Fun level!
Fun - Level 10
This is Fun level 10, "Beam me up lemmy". This is the final Fun level. You have 3 lemmings and must save all of them. You have 3 minutes to do it in.
After the first lemming drops down twice, turn him into a Miner.
Make the second lemming into a Builder. Let the third lemming fall.
Make the first lemming into a builder to bridge the gap.
The other builder will collect another Builder ability. He will then turn around and eventually follow the other lemmings.
The builder will have another lemming on his tail. Make the other lemming into a Builder to prevent him from falling in the gap.
All your lemmings should walk through the teleporter and exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 1!
Tricky - Level 1
Pick Tricky from the main menu.
This is Tricky level 1, "Keep an eye on Mr. Climber". You have 100 lemmings and must save them all in 10 minutes.
Make a lemming walking rightward into a climber. He'll climb the wall and go into the red teleporter.
Let him climb the wall and turn around.
Make him into a builder.
When he stops, make him a builder again.
When the builder reaches the wall on the left, make him into a Basher.
Your lemming will bash through the wall, walk left and climb up a small step. Turn him into a builder on top of that step.
Have him continue building until he hits the wall.
When he hits the wall make him a basher.
He'll bash through the wall, walk left, climb up a step and then come to the first wall he climbed over. Make him into a basher here.
Before he makes it through the wall, turn him into a Builder to make him turn around.
The Climber will continue all the way back the way he came.
Once he reaches the brick wall, after the red teleporter's exit, make him bash through it.
Now he'll exit safely.
Have the other 99 lemmings bash through the right wall that contains them.
They will flood out to the right, toward the exit.
You'll have to build a bridge for them to get through the first tunnel the climber bashed.
You'll have to use two Builders to reach the tunnel.
All your lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 2.
Tricky - Level 2
This is Tricky level 2, "A change of direction". You have 5 lemmings and must save all of them in 5 minutes.
Make your first lemming into a climber and floater.
He'll climb up and grab some Builder abilities. Have a lemming Bash through the bottom of the thin pole the climber is climbing. Let one lemming hit the pole and turn around.
The lemmings will enter the red teleporter.
They come back out at the left, next to the entrance.
The lemming walking left should build some steps at the left edge of the platform.
Once the builder reaches the wall, turn him into a Basher.
Have a lemming build steps over the red teleporter.
Now they will walk over the teleporter, turn around at the wall, and walk into the teleporter facing leftward.
When they walk into the teleporter facing left, they'll walk safely to the exit.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 3.
Tricky - Level 3
This is Tricky level 3, "A thing called lem". You have 10 lemmings and must save them all in 10 minutes.
As a lemming is walking left, make it a Climber.
It'll climb up the wall and walk into the red teleporter.
It'll exit the teleporter on the top platform, then collect the Builder ability.
At the edge of the top platform, make the Climber into a Builder. It'll grab a Floater ability.
Make the lemming into a Floater.
The lemming will climb up the wall near the exit and collect a Miner ability.
As soon as the climber falls into the skinny pit, make him a Builder. This will make him turn around.
At the wall on the right side of the exit, turn the climber into a Digger. He should clear the wall completely.
As he reaches the bottom of the wall, turn him into a Miner.
He should make a nice diagonal tunnel, but stop before digging into the acid.
Have the climber build steps into the all to his right.
Once the climber finishes the steps, have the trapped lemmings bash to the left.
The steps prevent the lemmings from dying from the fall.
The lemmings should continue through the exit.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 4.
Tricky - Level 4
This is Tricky level 4, "Hero Lemming to the rescue". You have 100 lemmings and must save 99. You have 4 minutes to complete the level in.
Make your first lemming into a climber and a floater.
Make the first lemming walking left into a Blocker in the middle of the dinosaur trap.
Your climber will grab the Basher ability after climbing to the top of the wall.
Let your climber hit the wall and turn around.
Turn your climber into a Builder at the edge of the platform.
He'll build over to the small platform and grab a Miner ability, then fall safely.
Have a lemming mine to the lower right.
When he reaches under the impenetrable blocks, turn him into a basher.
The lemmings should all exit safely, except the blocker.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 5.
Tricky - Level 5
This is Tricky level 5, "Lem in a box". You have 2 lemmings and must save both of them. You only have 1 minute to do so.
You have two entrances. Make the lemming that comes out the top entrance into a digger.
Have the lower lemming build steps up to reach the digger ability.
As the lower lemming reaches the wall, turn him into a basher.
Have the upper lemming dig downward.
Both should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 6.
Tricky - Level 6
This is Tricky level 6, "A nice little puzzle". You have 4 lemmings and must save all of them in 1 minute 30 seconds.
The timing can be tricky on this one, but we need to get all 4 lemmings to dig down and collect the climber abilities. You may possibly have more success if you speed up the rate the lemmings enter the level.
Make the fourth lemming dig down at the first climber ability.
Make the second lemming dig down to the third climber ability.
Quickly make the third lemming dig down to the second climber ability.
Make the first lemming build down to the fourth climber ability.
As the fall, they should collect all four abilities.
Turn all four lemmings into climbers so they can climb the wall that blocks the exit.
They should all exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 7.
Tricky - Level 7
This is Tricky level 7, "Don't forget the others". You have 40 lemmings and must save all of them. You have 8 minutes to do so.
As a lemming walks left, make him a climber. Make the same lemming a Floater.
After he drops, make him a Builder.
He'll turn around when he hits the wall, then have him bash through the wall to the right.
He'll enter the red teleporter.
After he exits the teleporter, he'll climb up the right wall and turn around.
Turn the climber into a builder before he reaches the exit.
Continue the steps when the builder stops building.
You'll need to continue him building again.
He'll reach the wall and then turn around.
Have one of the trapped lemmings bash rightward.
When a lemming walking left reaches the bottom of the steps, turn him into a Basher.
All the lemming will safely exit the level.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 8.
Tricky - Level 8
This is Tricky level 8, "Lem up and down we go". You have 2 lemmings and must save both in 8 minutes.
Turn the first lemming into a climber.
Have the second lemming dig down to reach a Builder ability.
The climber should pick up a Basher ability. Have the climber build steps over the acid pit.
Have the bottom lemming Bash rightward.
The top lemming will pick up a Builder ability as it completes it's steps, it will then exit.
Have the remaining lemming build over the pit he comes to.
He will collect five Builder abilities.
As soon as the climber faces left, turn him into a Builder.
Continue building leftward.
You should build all the way to the exit. When finished building the lemming will exit.
Success! Let's move on to Tricky level 9.
Tricky - Level 9
This is Tricky Level 9, "Down the hatch". You have 100 lemmings and must save all of them in 11 minutes.
Turn the first and second lemming into a climber and floater.
They will climb to the right and fall.
Let both lemmings turn around, so they face left, after the land.
Make one of the climbers into a Builder at the start of the impenetrable blocks.
Have the Builder continue building a second time. The other Climber will climb out of the pit, hit the wall, and turn around.
Have the lemming on the left build at the edge of the platform.
Have both lemmings continue building steps toward each other.
Have the left lemming continue building, but let the third lemming stop.
Keep building until the left steps overlap the right steps.
Have one of the climbers dig down on the right side of the screen.
Make one of the trapped lemmings into a digger, right in the center, under the giant pipe.
Fast forward to make it go quicker.
The lemmings should exit the pipe safely onto your steps.
They will continue to the exit.
Success! Let's move on to the final Tricky level!
Tricky - Level 10
This is Tricky level 10, "Don't send me up there!" You have 99 lemmings and must have 100 lemmings finish the level. You have 4 minutes to finish.
Turn a lemming into a Builder above the first set of eyes you see on your platform.
Between the eyes make a lemming into a digger.
One lemming should bypass the digger, have him build steps on top of the second set of eyes.
Most of the lemmings will begin to exit. One lemming will be cloned by the cloning machine, then pick up a Digger ability.
The clone lemmings will walk into the red teleporter.
They will come out onto the top platform. Have one of the lemmings dig on the first set of eyes on the top platform.
The second lemming will pick up another Digger ability.
Have the second lemming dig down at the second set of eyes.
All the lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 1.
Taxing - Level 1
Pick Taxing from the main menu.
This is Taxing level 1, "3rd Time lucky" You have 5 lemmings and must save all of them in 3 minutes.
As soon as the third lemming is on the ground, pause and change the exit rate to 99.
Have the third lemming dig downward. The fourth and fifth lemming should bypass the hole.
Turn all the lemmings into climbers, except the digger.
The digger should drop below and pick up a Basher ability.
Have the first Climber Bash under the trap.
Make the lead lemming into a Builder. The lower lemming should start collecting 4 Floater abilities. Give these Floaters to the four Climbers.
Three of the Climbers should exit the level safely.
The Builder should collect the Basher ability and then fall.
Make the left lemming into a Basher.
All lemming should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 2.
Taxing - Level 2
This is Taxing level 2, "Down and out". You have 10 lemmings and must save all of them. You have 4 minutes to complete this.
As soon as the first lemming starts to walk on the blue step, turn him into a Miner.
As soon as a lemming on the right walks leftward on steps, make him a Miner as well.
At the top of the first mining tunnel, make steps going to the right.
The steps should build over the mining tunnel.
The miners should meet in the middle. The miner coming from the left should continue mining.
The first miner will stop when he hits the impenetrable block.
He'll enter the green teleporter, like the rest of your lemmings did.
This teleporter brings them to the exit.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 3.
Taxing - Level 3
This is Taxing level 3, "Float on home Mr. Lemming" You have 20 lemmings and must save 19 of them in 10 minutes.
Make the lead lemming into a Builder, so that he'll fall onto the Bashing ability down below. Also give him the Floater ability.
Make the second lemming into a Blocker.
Make a blocker on the left side of the entrance as well.
After building the steps, the first lemming should fall onto the Bashing ability.
The lemming will then get cloned.
After cloning, make the first lemming to come to the wall a basher.
The other lemming will walk back left. Have him turn into a Builder right before the acid pit. The lemming that bashed the wall will collect a Builder ability.
The Builder will collect a Builder ability. Have the other lemming build over the pit to the right.
The left lemming will collect a Bashing ability just in time for the right lemming to bash the wall he builds to.
The Basher will continue rightward, picking up a Bomber ability.
Move your pointer to the middle of the trapped lemmings and make each one a Floater.
Change the right blocker into a Bomber.
This will release the trapped lemmings.
The lemmings should exit the level.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 4.
Taxing - Level 4
Make the second lemming on the right into a Floater.
Make this lemming a Digger when it walks left.
Have the first lemming on the left into a Builder so it can collect the abilities in front of it.
The Builder will collect a Builder ability. Make the top lemming into a Builder, just in front of the acid.
Have the lower Builder continue building. Have the lemming on the right side of the arrow wall Bash leftward.
Have the top Builder continue building.
Have the bottom Builder continue building to get the Floater ability. Then make the top Builder into a Floater.
The top builder should fall safely.
The lemmings should all exit the level.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 5.
Taxing - Level 5
This is Taxing level 5, "Like a lem in a sweet shop". You have 2 lemmings and must save 3. You have 8 minutes.
The first lemming will enter and collect a Builder and Climber ability.
When walking left, make a lemming a Climber.
The Climber will collect a Climber and Builder ability on the way up the wall.
When the other lemming is walking right, make it into a Climber.
Make the right lemming into a Builder before the acid pit.
The left lemming will collect a Basher ability. The right lemming will collect some Mining abilities.
Have the right lemming continue building.
Have the left lemming bash through the wall to the right.
The left lemming will collect a Builder ability. Immediately have that lemming turn into a Miner.
The right lemming will collect a Bashing ability. Have him continue building.
The left lemming will collect a Builder ability.
Have the right lemming continue building again. The left lemming will climb the wall to it's right and turn around.
As the left lemming is walking left, have him dig downward. The right lemming will collect one more Basher ability.
The left lemming will walk through the cloning machine and pick up a Builder ability.
Make one of the left lemmings into a Basher.
Make the other left lemming into a Miner when it turns around and walks right.
Have the Builder continue building.
The left lemmings will each collect a Builder.
Have the Builder continue building.
The lower left lemming needs to bash through the wall on the right.
The builder needs to Build one final time.
All lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 6.
Taxing - Level 6
This is Taxing level 6, "Bomb not bash". You have 10 lemmings and must save 6. You have 10 minutes.
Make the first lemming into a climber.
Make the fourth lemming into a Miner on the top platform.
Let the second lemming collect the Floater abilities and fall to his death.
Make the third lemming into a Basher.
The Climber will collect a Blocker ability while falling.
Have the Climber dig down after the impenetrable blocks.
As the lemmings are falling make one a Floater.
Then make another one of the falling ones a floater. Do this when they are apart, so they aren't so grouped together.
Make one of the lemmings into a Blocker on the right.
The other lemming will go left and collect the Blocker abilities.
Make that lemming a blocker as well.
Make each lemming into a Floater. Either set a Bomber at the right time, or put a Blocker next to the wall and make it into a Bomber. It will explode.
The lemmings should be free.
They will float safely below.
Turn a lemming walking right into a Miner.
The lemmings will exit the level.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 7.
Taxing - Level 7
This is Taxing level 7, "Teleport where Teleport there". You have 10 lemmings and must save all of them in 10 minutes.
Make the first lemming into a climber.
Turn the Climber into a Builder right before the drop into the acid.
Have the Climber Bash right at the wall after completing the steps.
The Climber will pick up a Floater ability and walk into a red teleporter.
The Climber will turn around after climbing the wall.
He will pick up 5 Floater abilities.
Have him Bash through the right wall.
Have him dig down in the next room.
The Climber will walk left into the green teleporter.
He will come out in the top right corner and collect one more Floater.
He'll then walk back and join the other lemmings. Make all the lemmings into Floaters.
Have a lemming bash the wall to the left.
They should all fall safely and exit the level.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 8.
Taxing - Level 8
This is Taxing level 8, "Lemmy we're going down". You have 4 lemmings and must save all of them in 10 minutes.
Turn the first lemming of the lower entrance into a Builder at the edge of the pit.
Turn the second lemming of the lower entrance into a Climber.
The Builder will turn around. Give him the Floater ability.
The Climber will collect a Digger ability.
The Floater will fall safely and be trapped for now.
Have the Climber build steps over the first trap.
Make the Climber dig down between the two traps.
Fast forward to speed things up.
The Climber will drop down and collect two Floaters.
When the trapped Floater is walking right, change him into a Climber.
As the top two lemmings are walking right, have them dig downward, before the dug tunnel below.
Make each of those lemmings into Floaters.
They should float safely down the tunnel.
All lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Taxing level 9.
Taxing - Level 9
This is Taxing level 9, "Follow the light". You have 10 lemmings and must save 7 of them within 11 minutes.
Let the lemmings walk rightward and pick up the Builder ability.
Have the lead lemming build steps up onto the right ledge.
The lemmings will climb the steps and continue rightward, picking up two more Builder abilities.
Make the far-right lemming into a Blocker before the edge of the platform.
Turn a left-walking lemming into a Builder to reach the upper platform.
You'll have to use two Builder abilities to make it all the way.
Now your lemmings will walk leftward on this platform and pick up a Builder ability.
After picking up the Builder ability, make that lemming build steps, right before the edge of the platform.
Your lemmings should walk freely up to the upper-left platform now. The first lemming will collect a Builder ability.
On the left side of the upper-left platform, make a lemming a Blocker.
The lemmings will hit the Blocker and turn around. Make one into a Builder at the top of your last steps to reach the upper platform.
Once on the upper platform, your lemmings will collect another Builder ability.
Make your lead lemming into a Climber. As the lemmings continue walking right on the upper platform, they will collect a Digger ability and two Builder abilities.
The Climber will climb over the small wall. While walking right, have him dig under the torch, just as he lights it.
Once your Climber digs down, he should continue rightward.
Have your Climber build steps up to the lattice. If he turns around, you'll have to use another Builder to make him hit a wall and turn around again.
Your Climber should walk up the lattice.
Have him build more steps up to the lower part of the above lattice.
The climber should then exit safely. Now have a lemming Bash the small right wall.
The lemmings should all exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to the final Taxing level!
Taxing - Level 10
This is the final Taxing level, "Lem me your ears". You have 10 lemmings and must save them all in 10 minutes.
After the first lemming takes a few steps, turn him into a Digger.
Give the Digger the Climber ability as well.
Right in the middle of the non-striped part of the upper platform, have the first lemming to come out of the upper entrance build steps to avoid the trap.
The second lemming on the upper level will need to dig downward.
Have the Climber build steps at the farthest right you can get, without falling into the pit.
The second and third lemmings up above should dig downward, right after the trap and before the non-striped part of the platform.
Have the first upper lemming dig down through the chain if needed.
Make sure the Climber keeps building rightward.
Let the upper lemming walk all the way to the right and turn around. As he's walking left, turn him into a digger, on the left side of the big gear. If he doesn't dig all the way through the gear, you can use a Basher leftward to finish the job.
Have the Climber continue building again.
Have the lemming that's on the right side of the pit build steps leftward, right on the very edge of the platform.
Have the Climber keep building.
Have the other building keep building.
If done right, the Builders should join their steps up with no room to spare.
Have one of the trapped right-walking lemmings build steps to climb their right wall.
The lemmings should now make it out of the pit they were trapped in.
All lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 1.
Mayhem - Level 1
Select Mayhem from the main menu.
This is Mayhem level 1, "Lem does this Lem does that". You have 100 lemmings and must save all of them. You only have 3 minutes to complete it.
Make the first lemming into a Climber.
Make the third lemming into a Climber as well.
The first Climber will fall into the pit and continue to climb the wall on the right. Have the second Climber build steps, right in front of the pit.
The first Climber will try to climb back up the left wall of the pit, but will turn around when he hits the base of the steps.
The upper Climber will finish building steps and collect a Basher ability. The lower Climber will be climbing the right wall again.
Have the upper Climber bash through the wall to the right. The lower Climber will walk leftward again, climb the wall, and turn around.
As the lower Climber comes to the right wall, make him a Basher.
The top Climber will collect a Builder and Basher ability.
Make the lower Climber into a Builder, right before the pit.
The two Climbers should exit safely.
Have one of the trapped lemmings Bash rightward.
Speed up the rate of the lemmings to 99.
All lemmings will exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 2.
Mayhem - Level 2
This is Mayhem level 2, "Lemmy down". You have 99 lemmings and must rescue all of them within 10 minutes.
Turn the lead lemming into a Digger a small ways from the entrance.
Make the lead lemming a Builder, building steps over the right wall.
A few lemmings will walk leftward because the steps weren't complete and they turned around when hitting the wall. Make the last left-walking lemming into a Digger, close to the left wall. The lemmings walking rightward below will pick up a Floater ability.
Make the Digger lemming a Floater.
That lemming should then walk into the red teleporter.
The lemming will be cloned. They will pick up a Floater ability.
Make one of them into a Builder before the large drop to the exit.
Make a left-walking lemming into a Blocker before it reaches the red teleporter, but after the spot where the lemmings are falling into the lower area.
The Builder should collect a Basher and Bomber ability.
Increase the entrance rate of the lemmings to 99.
Have a trapped lemming dig through the right wall.
Your lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 3.
Mayhem - Level 3
This is Mayhem level 3, "Lem lift us up". You have 4 lemmings and must save them all within 10 minutes.
Make the first lemming into a Climber.
He should climb the right wall and collect a Floater ability.
He will then climb the left wall. Go ahead and make him a Floater.
At the edge of the platform, make your lemming into a Builder.
He'll build up to the cloning machine and be cloned.
At the edge of this platform, make one of the lemmings into a Builder.
The Builder will collect a Builder ability.
The lead lemming will collect a Digger ability. At the edge of the pit, make him a Builder.
Have the other lemming dig down at the left edge of the platform he climbs.
When finished digging, he'll collect a Blocker ability.
The lead lemming will climb the far left wall and collect a Builder ability at the top.
Turn the lead lemming into a Blocker at the left edge of the left wall.
The other lemming will climb the wall and turn around at the Blocker. When he turns around, make him a Builder.
The Builder will collect a Basher ability.
When he reaches the right wall, turn him into a Basher.
He'll collect a Basher and Digger ability.
Have him Bash rightward again.
After Bashing, he'll climb the wall, collecting several Builder abilities and a Basher ability.
When you come to the faucet handle, Bash through it.
Use a Builder ability at the edge of the platform.
At the top right edge of the acid pool area, make your lemming into a Digger.
When he is close to digging through the last of the material, turn him into a Builder.
Continue to make him a Builder until he reaches a Basher ability.
Have the trapped lemmings bash through the left wall.
The lemmings will exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 4.
Mayhem - Level 4
This is Mayhem level 4, "Lemmy have another go". You have 10 lemmings and must save 7 of them within 10 minutes.
Make your lead lemming into a Digger, right above the first Builder ability on the platform below.
Make the second lemming into a Blocker. Do this as close to the digger's tunnel as possible.
Make a lemming into a Blocker as it comes out of the entrance.
The Digger will fall below and collect 2 Builder abilities.
Make him a Builder on the right edge of the platform.
Make him into a Builder a second time to clear the pit.
He'll collect a Blocker ability on the right platform.
Then he'll enter a red teleporter.
A few steps after he exits the teleporter, make him into a Blocker.
Turn the Blocker to the right of the trapped lemmings into a Bomber.
He'll explode and take out part of the ground near the tunnel.
If the Blocker's explosion was close enough to the tunnel, the lemmings should have a low enough fall not to die.
The lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 5.
Mayhem - Level 5
This is Mayhem level 5, "Burning bridges". You have 100 lemmings and must save 98 within 10 minutes.
Turn the first lemming on the left into a Climber.
Turn the first lemming on the right into a Climber.
When the right lemming is on the ground, turn him into a Builder to make steps over the wall in front of him.
Have the Builder continue building.
Make the left Climber into a Builder at the right edge of the pillar under the left entrance.
Rapidly press X on the left builder to make him into a builder again as soon as he hits the wall and turns around.
Have the right building continue building again.
Have the left Builder build rightward, at the top of his last steps.
Have the right Builder continue building again.
Have the left Builder continue the zig-zag steps upward.
Have the left Builder make a fifth set of stairs in the zig-zag.
Have the left Builder make a sixth set of stairs in the zig-zag.
Have the right Climber build steps over the pit he encounters.
Have the left Builder make a seventh set of stairs in the zig-zag.
Have the left Builder make an eigth set of stairs in the zig-zag.
Increase the rate the lemmings are entering to 99.
Have the left Climber bash rightward.
Have a trapped lemming within the right group dig downward through solid rock.
Make a trapped lemming in the left group become a Blocker on the left side of the pit that's below.
Make that Blocker into a Bomber.
The lemmings should spill out below onto your zig-zag steps.
Your lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 6.
Mayhem - Level 6
This is Mayhem level 6, "Plan ahead Mr. Lem". You have 100 lemmings and must save all of them within 15 minutes.
Turn one of the final lemmings into a Builder before reaching the pit that will trap them. Don't build it right on the edge of the pit though, or you'll have problems later.
Have the Builder continue to build a second time.
Turn the Builder into a Floater.
He will collect a Climber and Basher ability.
After he turns around and walks leftward, turn him into a Climber.
He'll climb up the big wall and continue past the pit of lemmings, collecting two Digger abilities.
Bash the left wall he comes to.
He'll collect a Basher ability after bashing.
Dig downward at the left edge of the wall below you.
When you get close to the impenetrable block, change into a Builder.
Continue to build leftward.
Once you reach the wall on the left, bash leftward, under the impenetrable rock.
This lemming should exit safely.
This is the tricky part, and kind of seemed like a matter of luck. You want to make one of the trapped lemmings into a Builder, but they must build leftward.
If successful, the lemmings should escape the pit.
Then exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 7.
Mayhem - Level 7
This is Mayhem level 7, "Take it from the top". You have 10 lemmings and must save all of them within 8 minutes.
Make the first lower lemming into a Climber.
Make the first upper lemming into a Climber.
The upper lemming will collect a Builder ability.
Turn the lower lemming into a Builder, about a block away from the acid pit.
The upper lemming will collect another Builder ability.
Make the upper lemming into a Miner at about the same point you made the lower lemming into a Builder.
Make the lower lemming continue Building.
The upper lemming should fall onto the steps.
They should both exit safely, picking up a Basher ability.
Make one of the lower lemmings into a Climber when it is walking rightward.
This is very tricky and will likely require some practice. Just as your lemming climbs to the top of the block, you'll need to turn him into a Digger to dig downward.
After digging, your lemming will climb up again. Repeat the digging process until the whole block is gone.
You have to be careful not to dig too soon, or too late, or you'll have to start the level over.
Finally, you should clear the entire block, freeing the lower lemmings.
Have the upper lemmings bash rightward.
All your lemmings will exit safely now.
Success! Let's move on to Mayhem level 8.
Mayhem - Level 8
This is Mayhem level 8, "Light my path oh hero Lemming". There is 100 lemmings and you must save all of them within 7 minutes.
Make the first lemming into a Climber.
He'll climb over a tiny wall.
Have him bash rightward through the wall. When the lightning flashes, move your pointer to the edge of the wall.
When he reaches the right edge, have your lemming dig downward.
Turn him into a Builder a little bit further down than the wall to your right.
If he turns around, you can turn him into a Builder again so that he'll turn around again.
At the top right edge of the pillar you built to, have your lemming build more steps.
Make lemming build again when he stops.
He'll collect a Basher ability at the top of his steps.
This is what your steps should look like. You want them to end right at the top of the second pillar.
Let your lemming fall onto the top of the pillar, off of the pillar, light the torch, then make him a Builder at the edge of the platform.
Have him become a Builder again.
When he reaches the wall, make him into a Basher.
The lemming should exit safely.
Move your pointer as far left as possible. At this position, make one of the lemmings into a Builder. He should end up building rightward.
Increase the entrance rate to 99.
If everything is done successfully, your lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's continue to Mayhem level 9.
Mayhem - Level 9
This is Mayhem level 9, "Roar of the big machine". You have 100 lemmings and must save all of them within 8 minutes.
You'll have three entrances on this level. Let the first lemming on the left walk right, turn around at the wall, and then walk left off the edge.
Have this lemming build steps into the wall on the left.
Have one of the lemmings from the middle entrance bash leftward. Have one of the lemmings in the bottom-left area build steps onto the right material that blocks them.
In the bottom-right, build steps rightward. Do this on the connecting joint in the middle of the pipe they are standing on.
Increase the rate to 99. Have the last lemming that comes out the right entrance build steps up to the impenetrable blocks.
He'll turn around after building.
Wait until he turns around and walks rightward again. Then make him a Climber.
He'll walk over the impenetrable blocks.
Then he'll climb the wall on the right.
As he is falling, repeatedly press X to make him a Digger as soon as he hits the ground.
He should dig downward, exposing the exit. Turn him into a Basher just a hair below the platform the exit sits on.
He should bash all the way to the rest of your lemmings.
Have a trapped lemming Build more steps from the top of your steps.
This should connect up to the tunnel the Climber made.
Your lemmings should exit safely.
Success! Let's move on to the final level!
Mayhem - Level 10
This is the final level! It's Mayhem level 10, "The length level". There are 50 lemmings and you must save 49 of them within 10 minutes.
Your lemmings will pour out quickly. Make one of the last ones into a digger along the right edge of the water faucet.
When he reaches the top of the trap, turn him into a Builder.
Turn the lead lemming into a Blocker. One lemming should get passed.
Have that lemming dig down before the trap.
The Builder should fall safely to the ground.
When the Digger is about halfway through the platform, turn him into a Basher.
The other lemming will enter the red teleporter.
He will come out of the teleporter in front of your Basher.
When he reaches the very edge of the platform, turn him into a Digger.
When the Digger gets nearly to the bottom of the platform, change him into a Builder.
After building he should collect a Bomber ability. The Basher should finish and start walking rightward.
Both these lemmings should exit safely.
The rest of your lemmings should fall down the pit and enter the red teleporter.
They will come out of the teleporter and exit safely.
Just make the Blocker into a Bomber to get rid of him.
