Port Forwarding for an EverFocus ECOR264

When you use an EverFocus ECOR264 DVR you might need to forward some ports in your router. The purpose of forwarding ports is to make a direct connection from the internet to an EverFocus ECOR264 DVR.

Routers do not generally allow incoming connection requests from the internet. By forwarding a port you can overcome this limitation.

You need to know the following things before you can forward a port:

• The internal IP address of your router.
• The internal IP address of your DVR.
• The list of the TCP and UDP ports that you need to forward.

Port forwarding can also be set up step-by-step by hand. The process for forwarding a port is:

• Start by logging in to your router.
• Find the port forwarding section in your router.
• Put the IP address of your DVR in the proper box in your router.
• Put the TCP and UDP ports for an EverFocus ECOR264 DVR in the corresponding boxes in your router.

Some routers need to be rebooted in order for the changes to be saved.
