Forwarding Ports in Your Router for Zmodo DK4001

When you use a Zmodo DK4001 DVR you may need to forward ports in your router. A port forward allows incoming connection requests from the internet to go straight to a Zmodo DK4001 DVR.

Routers generally do not allow incoming connection requests from the internet. A port forward can overcome this limitation.

You need to know the following things before you can forward a port:

• The internal IP address of your router.
• The IP address of your DVR.
• The list of the TCP and UDP ports that you need to forward.
