Login to the 2wire 2700HG-D Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your 2wire 2700HG-D router to save you time and hassle.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Put a check in the DHCP box.
  • Select OK.

  • Exit out to the live cameras by pressing the ESC button on the DVR.

Power Cycle the DVR

  • Remove the power cable from the back of the dvr.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Plug in the power cable.

Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Info
  • Select Network

  • Write down the IP address, subnet mask & gateway found on your info network screen.

Assign a Static IP

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Remove the check from the DHCP box.
  • Input the same IP address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select ok

Now that you are logged in to your 2wire 2700HG-D router you should see the following:

Look for your password on the bottom of your router or in the paperwork that came with your router.

Click the Firewall button.

Click the Firewall Settings button.

Use the Select a computer box to choose a device to forward ports to. This box contains a list of device names that are visible on your network.

Click the Add a new user-defined application link.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Qsee QSTD5088C-500 requires you to forward the AppFullPortsListTag ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Edit Application menu and then click Add Definition.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Edit Application page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add Definition.

Click the Back button.

Select the applications you just created in the Applications list, then click the Add button to move them to the Hosted Applications box.

When you are finished, click the Done button at the bottom of your screen.

And that is it! You are done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Qsee QSTD5088C-500 on the 2wire 2700HG-D you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
