Port Forwarding on Your Router for Amcrest IP2M-841

When you use an Amcrest IP2M-841 you may need to forward ports in your router. By forwarding ports you allow connection requests coming from the internet to be directed to an Amcrest IP2M-841.

Routers are not designed to allow incoming network requests. Forwarding ports can work around this limitation.

Make sure that you know these things before forwarding a port:

• The internal IP address of your router.
• The internal IP address of your camera.
• Each of the TCP and UDP ports that you need to forward.

• Log in to your router.
• Look for the port forwarding section in your router.
• Put your camera's IP address in the proper box in your router.
• It is now time to type the TCP and UDP ports that you are forwarding for an Amcrest IP2M-841 in the correct boxes in your router.

Usually you have to reboot your router in order to save the changes.
