Open Ports on Your Router for DMW Scanner

When you use DMW Scanner you may need to forward ports in your router. The purpose of forwarding ports is to make a direct connection from the internet to DMW Scanner.

Routers do not generally allow incoming connection requests from the internet. A port forward can overcome this limitation.

Before you can forward a port you need to know the following things:

• The internal IP address of your computer.

• Locate the section in your router that deals with port forwarding.
