Trick: Action Queue
The shift key on your keyboard has its own function in Dota 2. By pressing and holding shift and use a spell or item, your hero will not cancel his action but rather wait until his current action complete first. It's like queueing actions.
Take a look at the picture above. If you notices a green flag on the map. It's a action queue indicator that show you the next possible action that will act there. For example, use Sand King ulti and hold shift, use skill 1 and select target. Try it.
Also, work well with items. :)
