Set Up a Port Forward for WIRES-II
When you use WIRES-II you might need to forward some ports in your router. The purpose of forwarding ports is to make a direct connection from the internet to WIRES-II.
Routers do not generally allow incoming connection requests from the internet. By forwarding a port you can overcome this limitation.
Before Forwarding a Port
Make sure that you know these things before forwarding a port:
- The internal IP address of your router.
- Your computer's internal IP address.
- The TCP and UDP ports that need to be forwarded.

Forwarding a Port for WIRES-II

- Log in to your router.
