Port Forwarding QSee QSD2216 on the 3com 3CP4130
Before we can forward ports to your DVR, we need to change some settings in your DVR. Use your remote control to enter your DVR's System Setup menu.
Select the Network option from the System Setup menu.
Write down the number that is in the IP ADDR, Gateway, and Sub Net sections. Change the IP Mode to STATIC IP. Do not change the Gateway and Sub Net settings. We are going to create static ip address for your DVR and use it from now on. The IP address in the picture above is 192.168.001.111. The 111 portion of that ip address is called the last octet. Each octet of an ip address ranges from 1 to 254. If you have an ip address where the last octet is closer to 1 than 254, add 50 to the last octet and set the IP ADDR to that. If you have an ip address that is closer to 254 than 1, subtract 50 from that last octet and set the IP ADDR to that. Save the settings and get out of your DVR's setup. In this example the last octet was 111. So the new octet in this example would be 161, and the ip address in this example would be 192.168.001.161. Do not use those values they are just an example.
You will need to restart your DVR before those settings will take effect.
Remember what you set the IP ADDR to. You will need to tell your router what IP Address to forward those ports to. Since you want to forward ports to your DVR you will need your DVR's IP address.
We've already taken care of setting up the static ip address in the guide below so you don't need to worry about that part. Just enter your DVR's static ip address that we just setup in to the box requesting your computer's ip address bellow. You won't really be forwarding ports to your computer, but you will be forwarding them to your DVR. Everything else is the same, just keep in mind that the ports will end up being forwarded to your DVR and not your computer.
To setup port forwarding on this router your computer needs to have a static ip address.

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.
If you do not know your routers internal IP address please read our How To Find Your Routers IP Address guide.
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your router.
By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.200.254.
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.
By default the username is admin, and the password is 1234. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Click the Configuration link near the left of the page.
Click the Remote Site Profiles button near the center of the page.
There is most likely only one option in the list on this page. Go ahead and click it, then click Modify.
Click the Next button near the bottom of the page.
Clicking the TCP or UDP button on this page will bring you to the page that we will use to forward ports.
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QSD2216 requires you to forward the 80,5000-5001 ports. If the text above says UDP instead of TCP, go back to the previous page and select UDP to get the proper configuration page. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Remote Site Name: add menu and then click Add.

When you're finished, click Save Configuration near the left of the screen to save your changes.
And that's it! You're done!
