Welcome to the introductory sequence Gears of War. Game starts with a short cut scene. Then you take control of Marcus in his cell.
Walk over to Dom. He'll ask if Marcus wants to go easy way or through prison. Choose the combat option. Open the jammed door.
Pick up the ammo. Go into open area. Take cover by pressing the A button. The A button does a few different things. Holding it down while walking will make Marcus run.
Go along the hall shooting Locusts as Marcus moves. Near the fallen column press A to crouch. Then press A again to climb the column. Enter the hallway at end of bridge.
In next room kill the 3 Locust. Some Locust will cut through door. Take cover behind the nearest rock. Kill the Locust that charge through the door. Dom will be knocked out. Press the X button to revive him.
Exit through the door that the Locust came through.
Fight the 5 Locust. Make your way to far side of the area.
After they die the chopper will land. Head over to it.
Cut scene will begin. Then you will be at the end of the Prison Break act.
Act 1 - Trial By Fire
This act starts with Marcus needing to find Alpha squad. Take some cover behind a wall. The helicopter will take out the "Reinforcements".
On your way to the church, Marcus can grab an enemy weapon for a backup. Climb the stairs to the church.
Enter the church. Follow the hallway to the left. You will come to an open area where the squad will be attacked by Locust.
When the Locust squad is dead head to back of area and exit through opening to the right.
Follow the path to the stairs. Climb the stairs to reach an open area. A cut scene will begin. Once the cut scene is over some Locust Grubs will attack.
The squad leader wants Marcus to flank the Locust to the left. Go to the left side of this area. Duck behind the columns for some cover.
Get to the second column down and take cover next to it. Aim around the corner to shoot the Grubs.
When the Grubs die, an emergence hole opens. An emergence hole is a where Locust spawn. Kill these new Locusts. The squad will go down the path to the left from the emergence hole. The squad runs into more Grubs. Make your way down this hallway.
Continue along the hallway around the corner to the left. You will see a bridge up ahead and to the right. Cross the bridge.
Walk to the door. One of your squad mates will open it for you. Once in the room take cover any place that’s near you. Move towards the forward and to the left of where you entered.
Another emergence hole will open. Kill the Locust that exit. When they die the gate will open.
Exit through the now open gate. Go down the stairs that are ahead and to the left. At the bottom of stairs go straight to the van you saw earlier. At the van a cut scene will begin.
Act 1 - Fish in a Barrel
After the cut scene some Locust shows up with a troika gun emplacement.
Flank the gun emplacement to the right. When Marcus comes around he'll be behind and left of the gun emplacement. Kill the Locust manning it.
Run up to the gun emplacement and man it. Turn around and shoot the 3 Locust that charge you.
After they're dead move forward, but expect another wave of Locust. Kill them as you make your way down the corridor.
At the end of the corridor is a big open area with a fountain. There will be a longish battle here. An emergence hole will open. Blast any Locust that come out.
After that one is closed, another will open. Kill these Locust as well. Once again, another emergence hole will open. Kill the Locust as they emerge. When done with that batch of Locust, they will make another emergence hole. Kill the Locust again. That should be the last emergence hole. You will find an area to the back and right of where you entered. Go ahead and exit through that area.
Act 1 - Fork in the Road
Marcus will have a choice here. Either he can go down the left or the right fork of this path. If you choose the left fork, you will be pinned down by a Troika gun emplacement. So choose the right fork. Proceed down the corridor until you reach a turn at the end of it. Around the corner will be a Troika gun emplacement. Either throw a grenade or shoot the Locust manning the gun to take him out.
After the guy at the gun is dead, use the gun emplacement. Shoot the Locust that come from behind.
Use the button next to the door to open it. Enter the room and take cover behind whatever is nearest. There is another troika in the next room that is guarded by a couple other Locust. Take out the Locust guarding the emplacement. Then take out the emplacement.
After the fight more Locust will come from behind. Use the emplacement and kill the reinforcements. When they're dead, a Locust come out of a door behind the emplacement.
Enter the door that the Locust just came out of. Follow the hallway and kick open the next door.
Act 1 - Knock Knock
A cut scene will begin of Kim giving orders to Marcus and Dom. Walk up to door and kick it open.
Make your way across this big open area to the building in the background.
When Marcus reaches the foot of the stairs, Locust come out of the building. One will be manning a Troika gun emplacement. Flank to the right side of building where the grenadier is. A Grub hole will open in the building. Blast the Locust that come of it. Proceed to the gun emplacement. When all Locust are dead, a cut scene will begin.
After the cut scene Locust will rush up the steps to where you are. Use the Troika and take out the Locust.
When they're dead some Locust will be in part of the building to the right. Enter that part of the building and shoot them. After they're dead Kim will open door. Enter the next room through the now open door.
Act 1 - Hammer
Climb the stairs and turn left. Go straight ahead to balcony. Cole of Alpha squad will be holding the Locust back.
Shoot some of the Locust to help him. Kim will order Marcus to go revive Cole when he's hurt badly. Kim will open the doors to the stairs for you. Run down the stairs and revive Cole.
After he's Revived and the Locust are dead, head back to stairs and take left set up to the top. Enter the room at the top of the stairs. Kim will open up the door in this room.
In the next corridor Kim will order Jack to rip open the door.
While Jack is opening the door Locust will attack. Kill these new type of Locust to keep them from stopping Jack. Some locust will come from the hole near Jack. Enter the door Jack just opened.
Kim will order Marcus to pick up a Hammer of Dawn but not to use it until ordered to. Go out the door to the balcony. Aim the Hammer of Dawn at the Seeder and hold the trigger. After the Seeder is dead help kill the rest of the Locust in the area.
Follow the path around the water to the door. Kim will open the door. Enter the now open door. Go through the door on the other side of room as well. In the hallway after the door will be a door to the left which will have a seeder down below. Use the Hammer on it. Mop up any remaining Locust after the seeder is dead.
Group up with the rest of Squad at door in room. Kim will open door. Enter the hallway through the door. Go down the stairs to the left. You will run in to two Wretches at the bottom of stairs.
At the bottom of stairs follow hallway to the left. It will lead to a hallway to the left. Follow the hallway to the courtyard with the seeder you last killed. Kim will make contact with Control. Go down the hallway on the left side of this room. Several Locust will attack in the room at the end of hallway.
Keep going forward and up the stairs on right side of room. Follow this path in to the next room. Kim will open the door to the left. Go through this now open door. Climb the stairs.
Act 1 - Wrath
At top of stairs is a room with a few Locust in it. Go out on the balcony and kill the last seeder. When it is dead, go back in the room. The Locust will rip open the door to the left. Take Cover behind whatever is nearest. Kill the Locust as they try and breach the room.
Go out the door that the Locust just opened. Head to the right as you enter the new hallway. Follow this hallway until you get to a room. Kim will talk to Alpha Squad again. Continue down the hallway until it turns right. Now head down this hallway until Marcus enters the room.
Kill the 2 Locust in this room and head out the door on left side of room. Go down this hallway until you reach a rock in the wall. At that point some Locust will come out to play. Kill the Locust and continue to follow the hallway. At the end of the hallway will be a hallway to the left. Enter this hallway and then duck into the one to the right.
Follow this hallway. When Marcus reaches the couch a few Locust come out. Kill these Locust. Continue to follow the hallway until you reach an opening to the left. Go down the stairs. Go out the door and turn left to shoot the Troika gun emplacement.
After the Locust manning the gun emplacement is dead use the emplacement to kill the Locust coming down the hallway.
Go to the right from the gun emplacement. At the T section head to the left. Follow this hallway until you get to the left turn. Follow this hallway around to the stairs. In the big room at the bottom of the stairs are several Locust. Kill the Locust. Go to the left. Climb the stairs.
At top of stairs is a big room with a table in the center. Go around the table and up the stairs.
At the top of stairs is a Troika gun emplacement facing away from you. Kill the Locust controlling it. After the Locust is dead man the gun emplacement yourself. Kill all the Locust on the ground and in the air. When they're dead a cut scene begins.
Act 1 - China Shop
After the cut scene Marcus is back in the tomb. Go straight and then turn left. Head down the hallway. When the hallway meets a big room, move over to the left side of the room. Head father in to the room towards the door. Go through the door. The Berserker will burst through the wall. When it charges you wait until the berserker is about to hit you and dodge out of the way.
After the berserker misses you run through the door on the right. Run all the way to the end where a door is. Stand in front of the door. You may need to make a sound to get the berserker to charge you. Wait until the last second and dodge out of her way. She'll smash the door open for you.
Get around her and go through the newly opened door. There will be another door to open in this room. Run through this room to the other door.
Get the berserker to charge Marcus once again. Dodge at the last second to have the berserker open the door for you.
Once open get around her and through the door. Run to the other end of this room. Marcus will find another door and a timer will have started.
Get the berserker to charge Marcus again. Dodging at the last moment so the berserker will open yet another door.
Get around the berserker and go through this door. Marcus will be outside.
Get the berserker to charge outside and dodge her once again. Once she's outside aim the Hammer of Dawn at her. Shoot her with the Hammer of Dawn. This will leave Marcus at the end of Act 1.
Act 2 - Tick Tick Boom
After the cut scene Marcus will have control of the squad. Follow path to right turn.
Anya will notify Marcus that Hammer of Dawn is offline. At corner turn right head straight ahead. You'll be given a choice of left or right path. If you choose the left path, you will get blocked by a door. Choose the right path option.
Follow the path and climb the ramp. At the top of ramp jump the rock. Climb the stairs to the top. A cut scene will play. After the scene there will be two big Locust in a hole in the floor. Kill them to open the door blocking the other 2 squad mates.
Go around the hole in the floor and exit room on the left path. Head down the hallway to the left. A Locust will attack. Kill him then jump the rock. There will be an opening to the left. Enter the opening and exit this room through the left opening.
Go through the door to the left and around the platform to the stairs. Go down the stairs and follow the corridor to the car. Locust will attack both parts of the squad.
Go around the car and to the left to find a door in to a building where Locust will be fighting the other half of squad.
After the Locust are dead the squad will regroup up. Go up to door and kick it open. It won't open. Marcus will ask for some help. Jack will decloak and rip it open.
Follow the platform around the left to some stairs. Climb down the stairs and jump the rock. Kick open the door.
Act 2 - Grist
Exit building through door. As you exit the building, a group of Locust will attack. Kill them. This area wraps around to the right. Head that way killing Locust as you go. At the right side will be steps up. Climb up the stairs.
At the top of the stairs will be a wall. Go around the left side and follow walkway to the door. Enter the door. Go to the right. At turn go left and up the stairs. When you reach the top of stairs go left. Follow this catwalk around the left side.
At the door a Locust will attack. Kill the Locust. Go through the door and head left down the stairs. A couple wretches will attack on the stairs. Go straight ahead and then to the right. Turn left to face some Locust.
After the battle, go around the rock and down the right path. Down this path will be a troika gun emplacement. Kill the emplacement and the other locust that come out of an emergence hole.
Go straight down this path until you can go left. Go left down to the right turn. Go through the archway and around to the right.
Go up the stairs to the left. Walk up to the gate. The gate will be opened after a short conversation.
Enter the gate. Marcus will start walking. Follow the path straight. When you can go left do so. Walk down this way until cut scene begins.
Act 2 - Outpost
Head down the path to the left. Marcus will talk on the radio. To the left is a door.
Kick it open. Then enter the open door. Go straight ahead and then turn right. Follow this hallway then turn left. Go straight until the right turn.
Act 2 - Lethal Dusk
Head right and kick open the door. There will be 3 locust that attack. Kill them and then head to the right. On left side will be some stairs down. Go down the stairs.
Get on the little metal trolley.
Marcus will have to move the trolley while Dom protects them. Like half way across the river Cut scene will begin of the sun setting. Keep going until you reach the other side. When you reach the other bank exit the trolley and climb the stairs. At the top go straight and to the right.
Follow the path to the two guys. They will tell Marcus to stay in the light. A little cut scene will play of the guards being killed when their light goes out.
Go to the left, then through the door to the right. Cross the room to the door. Kick open the door. Go to the right. Once outside an emergence hole opens and locust pour out. Be careful stay in the light. Or what happened to the guards will happen to you.
You will see cans of propane on the ground. Shoot them to light the place up.
Head straight ahead when you kill the last Locust. Shoot any cans of propane you see. Turn right when you can. Follow this path straight. There will be a troika gun emplacement at the far end.
Head towards the troika running from cover to cover while in the light. When Marcus gets near the troika he will tell Dom they'll use the building. Get next to the car to see the propane tank. Run in to the building. Go through the two doors and shoot the troika and other Locust from the window.
Turn away from window and head away from it. A Wretch will kick the door open and attack. Kill the Wretch and go through the now open door. Climb the stairs to the top and kick open this door.
When you exit the door an emergence hole will open. Run across this area to the hallway beyond. Follow the hallway to the room. Kill any wretches that come after you. Enter the room after this to attack the Locust from the side.
Once they're dead cross the room they were in and shoot the propane tank. It may cause a Locust in the room to come out. Kill him if he does. Enter the room through the door he opened.
Follow the hallway and exit the door. Take cover behind the car and push it. When you can't push the car any father, run around the left side and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs look in through the door and kill the troika gunner and his buddy.
Kill any remaining locust in the area. Marcus will call control when they're all dead. Throw a grenade behind the dumpster. Go down the now lighted alleyway. Enter the door.
Go through the next door. And head to the back and to the left side of room. Enter the hallway. Turn right and go to door. Kick it open.
There will be 2 locust straight ahead of you. Take cover behind whatever is closest. Behind the pillar will be a propane tank. Go to the left when this quick fight is over. An emergence hole will open. Hide behind whatever cover you can find killing locust. There are propane tanks on both sides and one in the middle of area.
After the locust are dead cross the area to the road on the far side. Turn right and there will be a tank in front of the car. When you get to the first rock there will another tank to the left. Run to the last rock and to its right.
To the right of the rock will be a door. Enter the door. There will be a door to the left. Go through that door as well. Keep following this hallway to the left and down another hallway will be a door. Go through the door. Then head right through another door. Head around to the right and then up the stairs.
At the top turn right and go up another flight of stairs. At the top of these stairs turn right and go through the door. Go down the hallway to other end. Go through door to right. Use the spotlight. Cover Dom as he makes his way down the street. When he gets to the end he'll turn some lights on for Marcus. Go back down to the street.
When Marcus exits the building, go to the right. When the road goes left, follow it. When Marcus reaches a car in the road at the end, an emergence hole opens. Kill the Locust swarm.
After the fight, go through the door to the left. Enter the door to the right. Go to a window and shoot the tank. Jump out the window to the lighted street. Turn right and head straight down the road. When the road gets dark there is a tank behind the tin.
When you light up the road go to end and turn left and go through opening in wall. A cut scene will begin.
Act 2 - Dark Labyrinth
After cut scene enter the room ahead and exit through the door on the right. Follow hall until Marcus can go left. Then go through door to left. Walk up to the door and kick it open.
When Marcus goes through the door, three wretches attack. Dispose of them. Follow the hallway to the right. Enter the door on the right when you get to it. Cross the room and chainsaw the dresser.
Go through the door to the next room. There is a door to the left. There will be like 5 wretches that come from that direction. Kill the wretches and then go through the door. Follow the hallway to a door on the right.
Go through the door and continue straight in to the next room. Take the door to the left. There is a propane tank in a pushable car. Shoot the tank and run after the car as it rolls down the street.
Act 2 - Powder Keg
Go over to the gas station. Old man will tell Marcus he didn't think Marcus would make it so he didn't fill the car up. Head over to the wheel. Turn the wheel to start fueling the junker.
The old man will tell Marcus to come in for some ammo. Several Locust, including a Boomer will attack. Take them out.
When they're dead a cut scene will begin.
Act 2 - Burnt Rubber
In this section of the game Marcus is in control of the Junker. RT is the gas. LT is the brake/reverse. X switches Marcus between driving and the UV turret. While in the turret, RT is the trigger.
Go straight down the road. When the Junker reaches the turn Kryll will attack. Switch to the turret and fry them.
Drive the Junker around the turn and down the road. In the middle of what looks like a lazy S curve more Kryll will attack. Fry the Kryll out of the night sky.
Follow the road. Run through anything in the road that’s in your way. After the jump down and before the next turn more Kryll attack.
Start following the road again. Take the right exit when the old man tells you to. After the jump down go left like the old man says.
Go straight until the road turns right. Go straight ahead. When the Junker reaches to overpass, more Kryll come out to attack. When they've been deep fried continue down the road. Turn right at the end of the road.
Follow this road to the end and then turn right. There will be another right turn shortly. Head right up the ramp on to the overpass. Follow the road straight ahead. After the little jump and at the next turn Kryll will come out for some time in the UV light. Fry the little buggers.
Continue to follow the road around the right turn then just straight ahead. Follow the road around the left turn and then the right turn. Then it will straighten out and go over a jump. As the road starts to turn left the last Kryll will attack. Kill the Kryll.
Follow road until you get cut scene.
Act 2 - Last Stand
This part is hard. There are so many Locust here it is impossible to tell how many there are. It is just one big fire fight. Start by heading straight to a wall to take cover behind.
Just shoot any Locust you can. Emergence holes will open. Shoot the Locust that come out of them. If you can seal the holes with frag grenades do so. At some point an emergence hole will open in the building across the way. A Boomer will come out of the building. Kill him quickly. Mop up any remaining Locust.
When it seems that you've gotten all the Locust and the fighting stops, you haven't. An emergence hole will open behind your squad. It will have 4 boomers. Kill them very quickly. They can kill your squad in nothing flat.
After the fight a cut scene will begin. This will bring Marcus to the end of act 2.
Act 3 - Downpour
This act begins after the Junker dies. Marcus and crew must continue on foot. Start following the path. As you near the shack some light will come on. When you actually get to the shack the lights go out again.
Continue down the path and when Marcus gets near the right turn some glowing wretches will run down the pipes.
Go to right at the right turn. Keep following this path to the door. A cut scene will begin. After the cut scene the squad will split in to two groups. Marcus and Dom will go down a path to the right.
Follow this until you go through a gate. In the area after the gate there is another gate to the left. Go through it and prepare to meet the new wretches. Take cover behind the rock right in front of you.
A short time after these wretches die they pop, which will hurt you. When the wretches are dead go through the open doorway they came out of. Follow the catwalk to the destroyed section. Take the left path.
Follow what look like tracks in this area. Enter the door that’s ahead and to the right. Walk up to the desk on the right. There is a button here, push it.
After you push the button and exit this room, you will see a room back the way you came from. Head over to that room. On the way there a wretch will attack.
Enter the room and walk on to the elevator. Push the button. Marcus and Dom will ride the elevator to the roof.
On the roof there is a path to the right. At the bottom of the tin ramp, turn and head left to the open window. Jump in through the window.
Straight across from the window is a door to a hallway. Exit this room in to the hallway. A conversation with control will begin.
Act 3 - Evolution
After the conversation, go down the hallway to the left. At the end of the hallway will be a button. Push the button. It will break.
Marcus will then say he needs to find an alternative route. Go back to the room you entered building from and take the route to the right. At the end of this hallway is also a button. Push this button and the door will open.
Enter the hallway behind this newly opened door. About half way down will be a door to the right. Walk down this hallway to the door and kick it open.
When the door is opened a cut scene will begin. Enter the room through the door. Go to the left to a door with a button. When Marcus opens the door a stranded will shoot at Marcus. Marcus tells him to help open the other door.
Exit this room and continue to go to the other side of this room. There will be another door. The stranded will open the door. Follow the walkway around this room. Go through the door at the other end of the walkway.
Go straight ahead until you get to the room with the pillar. Take the door that leads to the right. In the next room the stranded will open a door to a big room.
In the big room, go to the left. At the far end of the walkway the path will bend around and head back the way you came from. Follow this walkway to a door at the other end. Enter the room through the door.
In the room go left and exit this room through the door. Go down the steps and through the door to the right.
In this room some of the planks are rotted to the core. They will break if Marcus walks on them. When you enter the room, go to the right. Just as the area gets bigger, go left. Stay out of the middle of this section.
Move forward until you get to the opening between machines on the left. At this point cross over the planks to the wall on the right.
Once at the wall follow the wall to the left to the corner.
At the corner follow the wall to the left until Marcus reaches a door to the right. Enter the door.
Cross this room to the door with a button next to it. Push the button.
Enter the small hallway and then the big room after the hallway. On the right side will be a door with a button next to it. Push this button and enter the next room.
Start across the room to the far side. About half way across Marcus will be attacked by wretches.
Finish crossing this room. Enter the small room through the door and continue right in to the hallway beyond the small room. Turn right and follow this hallway.
Just before the room at the end, a wretched will attack. Kill it, then enter the room with a chair. Exit this room through the door to the right.
There are two doors from this room. You need to turn the primer valve before they will open. The door to the right of the valve has some ammo and a hand gun. The door to the left has some stairs.
Take the stairs down. Follow hallway until Marcus reaches a door to the right. Go through the door.
Head to the left side of room and there will be a door there. When Marcus reaches the door Baird and Cole enter the room and regroup with Marcus and Dom. Marcus must turn the wheel to open these gates. Turn the wheel.
Enter the large room through either gate. Someone will notice a wretched on the ceiling. Bring its world crashing down. Then a bunch of wretched and grub Locust will attack.
After you kill them, head down a hallway to the other section of this room.
There may be some Locust over here as well, if they didn't join the other locust in fighting you. In the next section turn and head left to the end of the room. To your right will be a door. Kick the door open.
The door won't open. Marcus will tell Jack to open the door. While Jack is opening the door, a Boomer and a grub will come down an elevator.
Kill them and then wait for Jack to finish opening the door. When it is open enter the room through it.
Act 3 - Coalition Cargo
On the right side of room is the cart control Marcus is looking for. Walk up to the computer and use it.
This will open two huge doors. Go through the door to the left and down the stairs. The squad will jump in the carts.
There is not much you can do here. Just ride the cart and shoot the locust that come from the sides.
At the end of the cart trip there will be a door with a button next to it. Push the button to open the door.
Go through the door and the door to the right. In this room turn left and walk to the door. Push the button next to it.
When Marcus pushes the button, a wretch will attack. Kill the wretch.
After the fight press the button again. The door will open and there will be four wretches in the hallway. Walk to the end of the hallway and press button next to door.
On the other side of the door is a second door. Press this door's button as well.
Follow the hallway after the second door. About half way down the hallway will have a downward slope. At the end of the hallway two wretches will attack.
When Marcus enters the room at the end of the hallway, he calls control and she says that she's raising the platform. Well here is a surprise there's a Boomer on each of the platforms. Take the Boomers out.
Get on the platform. A cut scene will begin.
Act 3 - Darkest Before Dawn
There is only one way to go from here. If you look around you will find two spot lights shining on the ground. That the path. So follow the path. When you come around a turn to the right, look for a door with a red circle on it. The path you want is to the left. The path will have a light shining on it.
You will also know it is the right one because the squad will be attacked by 5 wretches. Kill the wretches. Marcus will tell Baird and Cole to stay put and guard the resonator. Continue down the path.
When the slope levels out a bit several wretches will attack. Afterwards continue down the path. A cut scene will start up. After the cut scene Marcus will tell Baird and Cole to find an alternative route. After the cut scene start walking towards the left three Locust attack.
When you have killed them cross the water and take the path behind the pillar. As Marcus starts down the path a Locust will start shooting from across the pit. Shoot him or the weakened column point of interest.
Start back down the path. After the rocks fall off the side of the path Marcus will be attacked by three wretches. When the wretches are out of the way head back down the path.
When you get to some ruined walls, Marcus will be attacked by three wretches.
Start back down the path and when you reach the tall standing rock a Boomer will be coming up the path. Take the Boomer and the couple wretches out.
When the Locust are gone, start back down the path. When you get to where the Boomer was take the left path. The path straight ahead is gone.
As you follow this path the ground will give way. Marcus and Dom will fall down a chute. At the bottom several wretches attack.
The exit out of here is to the left of where Marcus fell in. When the last wretch is killed, it will blow up some rocks. When the exit is opened take it.
Following the path will bring you to a fork in the path. Take the right path option. Follow this path until you run in to some Locust.
After they're dead continue down the path and Marcus will run in to more Locust.
Start back down and two Locust with shotguns will come up the path at you. Take them down.
Keep following the path and Marcus will meet back up with Dom.
Keep following this path until it turns left. When it turns to the left, several Locust will attack. Kill them. After Marcus kills them start back down, but before you get far a second batch of Locust attack.
After the second batch is dead start back down the path. At the bottom the Corpser will pop out of the wall at you. Keep following the path.
Act 3 - Angry Titan
Follow the path down to the greenish cracked ground. Start across this and about half way across the Corpser will drop in. This fight is pretty simple. Shoot the Corpser in the stomach.
It will rear back. At which point it opens it's mouth. Shoot it in its mouth at this time.
Marcus must do this three times. Once that’s done three times, the Corpser will be on a platform. Shoot the latches on both sides, and the Corpser will drop in the glowing stuff and die.
Wretches will appear randomly during the fight. Take them out when they appear. There is a path on the right side of the room.
Start following the path on the right. Keep following this path until you get to the area with a lot of the green goo.
Act 3 - Tip of the Iceberg
Follow this path straight ahead until Marcus tells Baird and Cole to take the right path. Marcus and Dom will take the left. Follow this path until you get the cut scene of the Theron Guard.
Make your way around to the stairs up to the platform in the middle. Kill any Locust you come across. Some of the Theron Guards are using Torque Bows. When they hit you they stick to you.
So take down the Theron Guards quick. When all the Locust are dead, Head back to the end of the platform you climbed up to it. In the distance you should see the elevator power button. Walk over to the button and push it.
A cut scene will begin. This will bring Marcus to the end of Act 3.
Act 4 - Campus Grinder
Go through break in wall that’s straight ahead. Take cover any place that you can that’s close. Kill the Locust that come at you.
You will have to move from cover to cover to kill them all. When the first batch is done a second batch will appear. Kill this second batch of Locust.
When the Locust are dead Marcus will have a choice of paths, a left path and a right path. Choose the right. There is a wall in front of you going around either side and Locust will attack.
When the Locust are dead, go to the back left corner of the area and there will be the exit.
Follow this hallway to the open area. A seeder will be here. Go grab a Hammer of Dawn and kill the seeder. Swap the Hammer back to your weapon or a new one.
After the seeder is dead a emergence hole opens in the center of area. Close it with frag grenades or kill the Locust that pour out of the hole.
When the fighting is done, Marcus calls Dom to open a door that is locked. The door is almost straight across this area from where you entered the area. Go through the door.
Follow hallway to left turn. Go left and then go right. Go through the door. There will be a door in back left corner. Exit through the door.
Follow the hallway to the left. Then right and out the door. Take cover behind the wall to your left. Kill the Locust that are attacking.
When the Locust are dead, in the back left corner will be a door. Go through the door. When you enter the Lecture Hall go to the left.
Go out the door. Climb the stairs. At the top of stairs will be two Locust. Kill them and then proceed down the other flight of stairs. Enter the building through the door.
Go straight ahead through another door. The go down the stairs to the left of door. Continue down second set of stairs next to the first.
Go through door that’s straight ahead. Then take the hallway to the right. Marcus will enter an open area. As he enters there will be a door to the left. Go through that door.
The squad will reform here. Behind the truck will be some propane tanks. Shoot the tanks to open the fence. Go through the hole in fence. A cut scene will start.
Act 4 - Bad to Worse
Go straight ahead until there is a path to the left. Follow the path to the left in to an open area. Once you enter the area, go to the left to a door. Kick the door open.
Marcus will tell Jack to rip the door open. An emergence hole will open. Kill the Locust that exit the hole. When that hole is closed a second emergence hole will open. Kill the Locust that come from that hole.
After all the Locust are dead time to go through the door Jack opened. There is an open door across the room. Go through the door and then through the door to the left.
Climb the stairs. Go down hallway to the right. At the end of hallway is a door. Enter the room through door. If you don't have a Hammer of Dawn, when you enter this room go behind the wall in front of you. On the left balcony is a hammer.
Go left through next door.
Go down the stairs to the right. At bottom of stairs, enter the next room through door to the right. In the back left corner is a door. When Marcus gets near the door a Berserker enters.
Sweet. Dodge the Berserker. Get around her and out the door. She'll bust through the wall. Get around her and go through door on left. Berserker will burst through wall again.
Stand behind pillar that’s in front of you. Berserker should rush the pillar breaking it. Bringing the ceiling down. When the Berserker takes out a pillar open sky is revealed.
When the Berserker hits a pillar or anything while charging it’s stunned for a second or two. Hit it with the Hammer of Dawn while the Berserker is stunned.
When the Berserker is dead run to the end of the room across from where the Berserker came in to the room. There is a wheel there. Turn the wheel.
This will put the fire out and open the exit. Go through hole in wall. To the left is a door. Kick it open.
Go through the door. Follow path to the right. Marcus will enter a courtyard.
Act 4 - Hazing
Once in the courtyard the way to go is to the left. Go through the archway and then turn left. Head straight and then through door on right. If you have time left on the Hammer of Dawn use it to kill the Troika gun emplacement.
After the Locust are killed and emergence hole will open. Kill the Locust that come out. You can use the Hammer to close the hole, if you still have time.
When those Locust are dead another emergence hole opens. Kill these Locust and close the hole. After the fight the door out is in the back right from where you entered.
Follow the hallway to the right and out the door here. Several Locust attack here. Kill them. When the Locust are dead a Boomer comes out a door.
Go through the door. Follow hallway to the right. There will be a door to the right Marcus can kick open. Open the door.
Exit the hallway through the door. Go straight ahead and to the right down a path next to building. Locust will start attacking from top of stairs. Kill the Locust.
After the fight climb the stairs to the top. Go either way around the building in front of you. On the other side will be a door.
Go through the doorway. Follow small hall to open area. In open area go to left. Follow this path. Keep going forward towards the arch.
Act 4 - Close to Home
Go straight ahead and through the arch. In the open area after the arch will be stairs down to the left. Locust will attack Marcus and Dom. Go down the stairs.
Straight ahead and to the left will be an opening. Go through the opening and in the small cemetery more Locust will attack.
After the Locust are dead, Continue straight in to the cemetery and up the stairs in the back.
At the top of stairs a group of Locust will attack from the left. One will be a Troika gun emplacement. If you have a Torque Bow shoot a arrow at the Troika and it will stick. The resulting explosion should kill the locust manning it.
When the Locust are dead. Head to the left of where you entered this area. Go through the arch. To the right will be some stairs down. There is another Troika down there. Use the Torque Bow again. When the troika is dead, go through the next arch.
Follow this path until you reach the right turn. Follow the right path up the stairs. When you reach the left turn, go forward until you reach a gate. Kick the gate open.
Act 4 - Imaginary Place
Go forward until you reach the opening to the left. Head to the left. Keep going this way up the stairs. When Marcus reaches the bottom of the steps Locust will attack.
When you have dealt with them continue to climb the stairs. At the top of the stairs there will be an open gate on the left side of stairs.
Go through the gate. A cut scene will begin. After the cut scene, go up to the door. Kick the door open.
Enter the house through the door. Walk through short hallway. Head to the left and an emergence hole will open. Close it with a grenade or just kill all the Locust.
Go back to the room on the right and then upstairs when the hole is closed. At the top of stairs Locust will attack from the right. Kill the Locust. When the upstairs is cleared, go back downstairs. At bottom of stairs a Locust will burst through the door to your left.
Kill the Locust and the enter the door the Locust just entered through. Follow this hallway to the left. Turn right at the corner. An emergence hole will open in the room to the right.
Kill the Locust in the room. As Marcus enters the room a Locust will burst through a door ahead and to the left. Enter the door the Locust just broke through.
Follow the hallway until the door to the right. Enter the door to the right. There will be stairs to the left climb the stairs and follow the hallway. When you reach the door to the left, enter the door.
Straight ahead is a wheel. Turn the wheel to open the gate.
Once the gate is open. Go through it and down the stairs. At the landing turn around to the right and continue down the stairs. At the second landing turn to the right and go down the next flight of stairs.
At the bottom two Locust will be trying to open a door. Kill the Locust. Walk up to the door. Kick the door open.
Enter the room through the door. Continue straight ahead. When you can't go straight go around either side. When the paths meet again go forward again. Marcus will be on a raised floor.
Act 4 - Entrenched
Go down the stairs and over to the wine rack on the left. Kick the wine rack and it will open up. Behind the wine rack is a door. Kick this open as well.
The door won't open, so Marcus orders Jack to rip it open. While Jack is opening the door. Locust will attack from behind. Protect Jack.
Once the Locust are dead and Jack opens the door, go through the door. A cut scene will begin. Go back up the stairs. Two wretches will come at you. Kill the Locust.
When the way is clear go back around the wall by using either path. When they join back up on the other side, some more Locust will attack. Kill them. Go through the door. Climb the stairs.
Climb the stairs all the way to the top. Turn left at the top of the stairs. Go through the door that’s ahead of you. Turn right in the hallway. When you reach the room with bookshelves, Nine wretches attack.
When the wretches are dead a Locust with a Lancer will show up. Kill the Locust.
Go through the door back in to the hallway. Follow the hallway to the left. When you reach the room at the end of the hallway, turn right and head out the door.
Then turn left and follow this hallway to the left and around the corner to the left. Go through the door to the right and up the stairs.
At the top of the stairs on the left hand side will be Baird and Cole. Walk up to them for a cut scene. After the scene start shooting Locust.
This is kind of like end of act 2. Just stronger Locust. Start by shooting Locust from the window up stairs. When the Theron Guard runs for the door, run downstairs and stand to left of door.
Just aim your gun at center and low half of door.
When you see a Locust run through the fire, aim and shoot. Keep repeating this until you get the new orders. When Marcus gets the new orders a Locust will bust out a door next to the stairs.
Kill the Locust. Enter the hallway that’s behind the door the Locust came out of.
Follow this hallway straight then to the left at the corner. Go straight and then through the door to the right. Go up to the door at the back of room. Look right and go up the stairs.
At the top of stairs head straight down the hallway to the door. Kick the door open. Enter the room through the door. Go to the left. Look out the left window.
There is an emergence hole. Close it with a grenade or just shoot the Locust that come out. When the Locust are gone, you can see the door from downstairs. A board is blocking the door from opening. Shoot the board.
Once the door is freed from obstructions, head back to the door. Kick the door open. Exit the room through the door.
Go forward through this little courtyard. In the room there are two exits, take either one and prepare to make a run for it.
Just run through this open area. Avoid all the Locust gun fire. You have 30 seconds to get through this area.
Once through this area a cut scene will begin. This will bring Marcus to the end of Act 4.
Act 5 - Special Delivery
Just start moving forward, Snipers on the rafters will start shooting at you. Take them down.
After the snipers are dead an emergence hole opens. Kill the locust that come out. When this batch is killed another emergence hole will open. Kill the Locust or seal the hole with a grenade.
After you close that hole clean up the remaining Locust some will be on the train car. When the Locust are mopped up go to the end of the train and cross over to the other platform. A cut scene will begin.
Act 5 - Train Wreck
Move towards the front of the train. Take cover any place you can find. Kill Locust and move forward.
Keep moving forward. Watch the fuel tank. Try not to blow it up. You may need it later.
When you get to the door, push the button. Marcus will tell Jack to open the door. Then Marcus will hear a dreaded sound. Sweet. Another berserker.
Head back to the fuel tank. Throw a hand grenade at the tank. If it works the car with the berserker and fuel tank will fall off.
Get back to the car that had the door Jack was opening. Go through the now open door.
Baird and Cole will saying Hoffman picked them up. Hmmm Lucky them. Go through door to next car. Locust will attack. Including Reavers outside the train.
Move forward killing Locust as you go. At the front of this car door will be on right side. Marcus will be outside. Run from cover to cover killing Locust.
When you go inside the next car, go forward and enter the hallway through door on the right. Climb the ladder to the roof.
Run to a chain gun and use it. Kill the flying Locust. Once you kill them all go back to ladder and climb down.
Once at the bottom of Ladder, go through door. After the conversation with Anya jump the wall in front of you. Run for the next wall and jump it. Wretches will be attacking you.
Go in to the next car. Kill any wretches you find. Keep moving forward. When you exit this car head to right side of next car and push button. This will release the canisters.
While the canisters are dropping go back to the left side of car and hide in their from the Reavers. When the canisters are done dropping, head back outside and to the right side. Run forward and duck in to the next car.
Walk to the door at front of car and to the right. The door won't open, so Marcus will tell Jack to rip it open. Wretches attack while Jack is opening door.
Once the wretches are dead and the door is open, Head through the door. Just run across the car since you have 40 seconds to reach a car two cars away. On the second car with a button next to a door, you must push the button a few times.
When the door opens head to right side of car and push button to release the canisters. Wait for the canisters to fall. When the canisters are done falling proceed forward to the next car.
Act 5 - Pale Horse
Open either door. They both lead to death. When you open a door and walk through it, a cut scene will start. After the cut scene the final battle with Raam begins.
Take cover behind the rock in front of you. Shoot ram with the Torque Bow. If you can do the active reload, Raam will take less shots. When you run out of ammo for the bow, if you do that is, switch back to the Lancer.
If Raam gets to where you’re taking cover get up and run to the other end of the car. Then take cover there and start shooting Raam again. When Raam is dead the final game cut scene will begin.
