Following in His Footsteps
After exiting the Vault 101, you will have to head to Megaton, the closest city to Vault 101.
Once you're inside Megaton, head to Moriarty's Saloon and talk to Colin Moriarty.
After talking to Colin Moriarty and passing a speech check, head to Galaxy News Radio. If you cannot pass the speech check, you can attempt to hack his terminal and find out.
You will have to go through the Farragut West Station in order to reach the Galaxy News Radio Plaza.
You will encounter a few hostile Super Mutants after exiting the Farragut West Station.
Some Brotherhood of Steel soldiers will appear and start shooting the Super Mutant.
Afterwards, Sentinel Lyons will tell you that you can follow them to the Galaxy News Radio Plaza.
Head through the ruins of a building full of Super Mutants, providing help to the Brotherhood Of Steel soldiers.
After taking out every Super Mutant inside the ruins and exiting the building on the otherside, a Super Mutant Behemoth will appear.
You can search the body of a dead Brotherhood of Steel soldier and take his Fat Man and the Mini Nukes.
Use the Fat Man rocket launcher on the Super Mutant Behemoth.
After dealing with the Super Mutant Behemoth, head inside the Galaxy News Radio building.
Once you're inside, go and talk to Three Dog.
You will have to pass a speech check to find out where's your Dad (James), or else you will have to do a mission for Three Dog. You can also quick-save and reload the saved game until you pass the speech check.
After talking to Three Dog, the quest will end.
