Baby Steps
The game will start off with the character's birth.
After choosing your gender and name, you will have to customize the way your character will look like when it is going to be an adult.
After the character customization is over, the game will skip forward one year.
Walk over to Dad.
After the character's Dad will leave the room and lock you in the playpen, you will have to open the playpen's gate and head to the "You're S.P.E.C.I.A.L" book.
Once you've opened it, you are given the chance to modify the character's initial statistics.
James (Dad) will come back into the room and will read you his wife's favorite Bible verse, Revelation 21:6, then he will ask you to follow him to visit Amata and see if she wants to play.
After entering the next room, the game will skip forward nine years.
