Welcome to my Fallout 3 Walkthrough Guide. In this guide I am going to show you the fastest way to beat the game and get a good ending. Before we get started, let's start with some basic stuff about the game, shall we?
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Points: Determine which kind of person your character will be. These stats will start off with 5 by default, they can be modified but you cannot go lower than 1 and higher than 10. You will also receive 5 more points to modify your stats.
Vault-Tec Bobbleheads: There are 20 bobbleheads that can be found in different locations around Capital Wasteland. There are 7 S.P.E.C.I.A.L bobbleheads that will permanently increase your SPECIAL stats by 1, and 13 skill bobbleheads, each one of them increase your skill level by 10 points.
Lockpicking: Your skill level must be at least the same as the lock's rating so you can attempt to pick it. If you are familiar with Skyrim's lockpicking system, then you are going to find the Fallout 3's one really similar and simple.
Skills: Skill levels show how good your character is at that skill. Skill points can be allocated after leveling up. The most important skills are: Lockpick and Speech. It'd be recommended to start leveling Speech and Lockpick skills up as soon as possible.
Fast Traveling: Is a really useful function, once you have discovered several location, you can start traveling between them in a few seconds saving you a lot of time.
Healing: You can heal yourself using Stimpaks or sleeping in a bed. Sleeping in a bed will also restore any crippled limbs.
V.A.T.S (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) is one of Fallout's specific features, it is supposed to make your combat a lot easier. You can select different areas of the body. Using it will cost you Action Points (AP), once you have ran out of Action Points, V.A.T.S. will be unavailable to use until your AP regenerates back.
