Darkness to Light
You get to fight the Raven King one last time here.
He is covered with corruption, and much tougher than the previous times you have fought him. Is it just me, or has Ahriman been watching too much Pirates of the Caribbean?
Let's go in to some of the things he will attack you with. He will send out strands of corruption to hit you. Press triangle to avoid this attack.
He can knock Elika out occasionally. When then happens just walk to her and wake her up. You do not want Elika laying on the ground at all during this battle.
He will jump in the air and try to hit you with his sword. Avoid this by pressing X.
Sometimes he will cover himself in shadow. When he does this attack with Elika.
The picture above shows him trying to heal. He backs away when doing this. Use Elika to get to him fast, or run the prince at him while the prince is blocking to close the distance. Hit him as fast as possible before he can heal too much.
He can also generate some kind of pink energy. When the prince is hit with it, the prince will back away no matter what you do. It's not really that big of a deal.
He uses the old corruption spit attack to blind you as well. Just hit him so you can see again.
He's also got bad gas. Sometimes the lower half of his body is covered in a black cloud. Use your gauntlet, circle, to attack him. Your regular sword will not hit him when he's like this. Not even a razor blade could cut that stench.
If you get him near the edge, you will be able to pound square to do a little bit of damage to him. I think I've covered what he can do. I hope I didn't leave anything out.
This is a fairly long battle. I repeatedly used a combo to beat him.
Attack him with Elika when you get a chance.
Follow that up by hitting him with your sword.
Follow that up by a gauntlet attack.
You will usually end up on the edge pounding square at him.
This makes for quite a bit of damage. Just repeat that, and you'll have him in the bag.
Wall run across to the vines, move to the lighted circle on the wall.
A wave of corruption will wash up the wall. Just stay on the lighted circle until that passes.
Work your way around the hand holds in the wall. You will occasionally have to wall run from hand hold to hand hold.
Wall run across the vines to the next lighted spot on the wall.
Wait there for the wave or corruption to pass.
Work your way to the right. Heal the first fertile ground.
Wall run to the next set of vines.
Wall run to the next set of vines. Wait in the lighted area for the wave of corruption to pass.
Wall run to the hand holds. Use the hand holds and the rings to continue forward.
Wall run to the vines. Then climb straight up the vines.
Wall running up might help you move faster.
Wait in the circle of light for the next wave of corruption to pass.
There is a whole bunch of vines to cross to the right. Keep going across them. Use the ring when you come to it.
Wait in the lighted circle for the next wave of corruption to pass.
Wall run to the second fertile ground. Then heal the second fertile ground.
Wall run to the next set of vines, and then do it again to the next set. Wait in the lighted circle for the wave or corruption to pass.
Wall run to the ring, and then to the next set of vines. Ahriman will keep pounding the wall as you keep moving forward.
Wall run up to the next set of vines. Then wall run to the right to next set of vines.
Wait for the wave of corruption to pass.
Then wall run across the ring to the next platform.
Wall run across the ring to the next set of vines. Hurry to the lighted circle.
Another wave of corruption will wash at you.
Make your way to the next platform.
The walk way that you are on will crumble away underneath you.
I actually just wait for it to crumble, and then have Elika save me.
When you get back to the walk way, now you will actually be able to see where you have to jump.
Make your way across this area as quickly as you can. The screen will go black, if you are not fast enough. Just keep jumping and double jumping across this walk way.
You will eventually make it to a set of vines on the wall. Climb across them as quickly as you can.
Cross the rings in the wall to the next set of vines.
Wait in the lighted circle for the wave of corruption to wash up the wall.
Use the rings in the wall to get to the third fertile ground.
Heal this fertile ground.
Run up and use the pressure plate. You will bounce off of a couple pressure plates.
Ahriman will try to swallow you. Well pound triangle to make him pay for doing that.
You end up back at the tree that is holding Ahriman in prison.
Elika will give her power to the tree.
Then you end up carrying her around.
Take her outside and place her on the alter there.
There is a little bit more to be done. Go around cutting the trees outside, and then return to the temple.
I will leave this to you.
Cut the tree there and bring the light seed to Elika.
I guess they want to make another.
