  1. Click on the button that says Add New Rule.

  2. Click the radio button called Enable.

  3. Type in a name for this forward in the Service Name box. Choose a name that will help you remember why this forward was set up since it does not affect the functionality of the forward.

  4. Choose your internet connection from the WAN Interface drop-down list.

  5. To forward a single port, enter the port number into the Start Port and the End Port boxes. To forward a range of ports, enter the lowest number in the range into the Start Port box. Then enter the highest number in the range into the End Port box.

  6. Take the values that you entered in the Start Port and End Port boxes, and put the exact same numbers in the Translation Start Port and Translation End Port boxes.

  7. You need to enter the IP address that you are forwarding ports to into the Server IP Address box. This can be either the IP address of your computer or any other IP address on your network that you want ports forwarded to.

  8. Don't worry about the Configure Originating IP option, leave it unchecked.

  9. In the Protocol dropdown box, select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding. Choose Both if your router has that option. Otherwise, choose either TCP or UDP as needed. If you need to forward a port for both TCP and UDP and your router does not have the Both option, then you need to create two entries.

  10. Remember to click the OK button at the bottom of the page to apply these changes when you are completely finished.
