Before we can forward ports, we need to do a little configuration. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up your thermostat's Configuration page.

On this page you need to change the HTTP Port to 81, and ASCII Port to 10001. For every additional thermostat you'll want to increase each number by one. So thermostat #1 would be ports 81 and 10001, thermostat #2 would be ports 82 and 10002, thermostat #3 would be ports 83 and 10003, ect.

Once you've finished configuring things, go ahead and click the Save & Reboot button to save things. After you have finished saving and rebooting, you will need to log in to your thermostat again.

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser. If you do not know your routers internal IP address please read our How To Find Your Routers IP Address guide.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.254.
