Everspace is ROCKFISH Games's Action, Flight, Survival, Strategy, and Shooter game with a release date in 2017.

When you play Everspace you will enjoy the following styles of play.

  • Action games are usually a bit faster than other games and require quick reflexes. You frequently jump platforms, shoot enemy mobs, climb ladders, and
  • Flight games are similar to car driving games in that you are usually in the cockpit of a plane or helicopter. They can also be from the view of a chase camera. Some flight games are atmospheric and some are space based.
  • In a survival game you simply need to stay alive. Some have waves of enemies that get harder with each wave. Many are horror based, supernatural, or post-apocalyptic. They generally focus on conserving resources such as ammo and health, and sometimes employ elements of stealth.
  • Strategy games tend to focus on planning and skillful thinking in order to beat either real players or bots. They can be either real-time in which the play clock ticks continuously or turn-based where each player has a dedicated turn to finish their action. It is not uncommon to include exploration and resource management.
  • In a shooter the player must have a very fast reaction time. Usually there i a weapon held out in front of the player that is used to target other players or enemies. They can be either single player or multiplayer. The single player versions usually have a short storyline with minor RPG elements. Call of Duty and Battlefield are some very popular examples.

Port Forward Everspace

When you are playing Everspace you might need to forward some ports in your router. Forwarding ports is a useful trick in gaming because it can really help to make your network connection most stable and intermittently even faster. Routers were not designed to allow incoming network requests and some games can play tremendously better if an incoming connection is forwarded through the router to the game.

Before You Forward a Port

Before you can forward a port you need to know the following things:

  • The IP address of your router.
  • Your gaming machine's IP address.
  • The TCP and UDP ports to forward.

How to find your router's IP Address

The easiest way to find your router's IP address is to run our free Router Detector utility. It's a part of the Network Utilities suite of tools and it's completely free to use.

How To Forward Ports

Don't have time? Use our Network Utilities software. It's the fastest way to both open and close ports in your router. Of you can do it manually if you want.

The process for forwarding a port is usually:

  • Open a web browser and navigate to your router's IP address.
  • Find your routers port forwarding section.
  • Put the IP address of your computer or gaming console in the correct box in your router.
  • Put the TCP and UDP ports for your game in the matching boxes in your router.
  • Frequently you have to reboot your router for the changes to take effect.
