Creating a Port Forward in Your Router for a Rising Storm Server

You may need to forward ports in your router when you use Rising Storm Server. By forwarding ports you allow connection requests coming from the internet to be directed to Rising Storm Server.

Routers do not generally allow incoming connection requests from the internet. Forwarding ports can work around this limitation.

Before forwarding a port make sure that you know these things:

• The internal IP address of your router.
• The IP address of your computer.
• The list of the TCP and UDP ports that you need to forward.

Use a VPN Instead

• Log in to your router.
• Locate the section in your router that deals with port forwarding.
• Type your computer's IP address into the correct box in your router.
• Put the TCP and UDP ports that you are forwarding for Rising Storm Server in the correct boxes in your router.

Usually you have to reboot your router in order to save the changes.
