Hit the Save Crystal to save your game and replenish your health.
There's a Song Plant to the left and slightly above the Save Crystal.
It's pretty easy to defeat the Mantis. All you need to do is switch to Nature Form, hold a full charge, wait for him to bomb you, then release the vine towards him. It'll knock him off into the bubble you are in. Run away as the bombs are about to explode. Repeat this a few times.
