Viridian City-Virdian Forest
The first thing I do is go back to go buy some Pokeballs and Potions.
Walk to the left...
Then, up this way. NOTE: Don't even try to get to the gym. It's locked, but don't worry. You'll be able to beat it soon.
An old man will be there to teach you how to catch Pokemon.
You'll see that he chooses the "ITEM' tab and pick the "POKEBALL" item.
After that, I head up to Route 2 to the Viridian Forest to catch some Pokemon.
I caught a Nidoran that was a female.
And also a Pidgey.
That was all I got from the Route 2/Viridian Forest. Off to Pewter City!
